House of Yes, described by USA Today as “New York’s coolest new nightclub,” welcomes back renowned New York art-party crew, Treetops for the first annual Mad Science Fair at House of Yes alongside the founding father of acid house, DJ Pierre, a special surprise guest, and many more on Friday, October 14. Brainy activities and mind blowing interactions on the night will include a “Guess Who’s Ovulating” Strip Dance, massive lighting powered only by potatoes, an all powerful Mutant Combination machine, as well as the latest in 3D video projection mapping. There will be a Mind Prize Ceremony in which prizes will be awarded to the weirdest and wackiest science project submissions.

Widely recognized as one of the inventors of acid house, DJ Pierre, a Chicago native and founding member of influential DJ and production Phuture, who recently and suddenly lost co-founding member Spanky, comes to House of Yes for a night that will demonstrate the finest in acid house. A house pioneer that helped ignite an underground movement, DJ Pierre continues to forge his legacy with recent releases on revered labels such as Get Physical, Strictly Rhythm, and Dim Mak - listen to one of his latest releases, “The Drive,” out now on his devoted acid house label, I Love Acid. Joining the night’s festivities will be New York City underground fixture PONY, Treetops’ own Teddy Roosevelt, Miami’s Dio Garcia plus a very special surprise guest.

SUBMIT YOUR SCIENCE PROJECT: For those wanting to get involved in the fun and to score one of the limited guaranteed free entry spots all night long, attendees are encouraged to submit their science experiment ahead of time via email to treetopsexperience@gmail.com with at least four sentences describing the project (deadline October 14). Judging will take place throughout the night and culminate in a Mind Prize Ceremony at 2 AM that is definitely not to be missed!

Treetops who are known for their quirky themes and eclectic music lineups, (previous installments have featured Moodymann, Gene Farris and Kill Frenzy) as well as their laser focus on decor and interactive installations, are a group of 15 volunteers all dedicated to creating the ultimate party atmosphere that is fun, yet comfortable and grounded. Describing the party, Treetops co-founder Eric Holt labels them as “parties directed by whimsy, creativity, and curiosity” that encourage guest “interaction and engagement through humor” for a party that sees improvisation elements together with renowned musical talent. Creating an interactive theater experience, previous parties have included themes of the “Game of Life,” a body-organ inspired costume party, a “Jitterbug Jubilee” and much more.

About House of Yes:
House of Yes opened its third iteration in Bushwick at the beginning of 2016 to become a beacon of NYC nightlife after shuttering its doors too soon in East Williamsburg three years ago. Original partners Anya Sapozhnikova and Kae Burke, teamed up with Ilan Telmont and Justin Ahiyon to build out the best venue ever with a little help from their friends, seeding a Kickstarter campaign for $92,340 (original goal: $60,000). The space includes an art-deco restaurant parlor, a spectacularly decorated warehouse-sized performance space, a courtyard with kitschy repurposed decor, and a clandestine mini-club. House of Yes is now the home of circus spectacles, immersive cinema, burlesque and cabaret shows, aerial extravaganzas, nightlife parties, morning raves, brunch, BBQs, and bubble baths, all with superior sound and exemplary service. Each night is specially curated to create an immersive experience with music, theatrics, and performances to titillate the senses and expand your mind, unlike any other venue in Brooklyn right now.
