Already heating up the airwaves on BBC Radio 1, KCRW and more, blossoming talent Lauren Lane’s recent release “Lazer Eyez” is taking summer by storm, appearing as the first track on the dynamic label Visionquest’s eclectic ‘Teen Collection Hot Jam 96’ sampler and recently named "Track of The Day" on Beatportal.com. “Lazer Eyez” is the result of a collaboration between Lane and the inimitable Jaw (from the French electronic trio dOP), and emerges as a festival-friendly floor filler, combining a tough bassline with funky playful percussion, and lyrics that regale the haunting love spell of "Lazer Eyez." Within the first week of its release, ‘Teen Collection Hot Jam 96’ reached the Top 20 in Deep House on Beatport. This is an eclectic take on summer grooves by a fresh voice on the electronic dance music scene.

Lauren Lane is a LA-based artist who cut her teeth as a DJ on the New York house music scene and has DJ'ed at Cielo, Pacha NYC, Williamsburg's Public Assembly, along with performances at The BPM Festival, an upcoming date at Electric Daisy Carnival Puerto Rico and a new DJ residency to be held at Sound in Hollywood, CA opening Fall 2012. Her production career all began after Jaw dropped by the renowned Cielo nightclub in NYC when Lauren was on the bill with Seth Troxler. Catching Lauren’s set and loving the style, the pair hit it off and soon started to collaborate in the studio. Expect more from Lauren including another Jaw collab and remix for Nic Fancuilli’s ‘Wild' out on September 10 (vinyl) and September 17 (digital).

"Featuring vocals by dOP madman Jaw, the track is a high energy Deep House anthem in the making." –GottaDanceDirty.com

"She’ll be making a lot of noise on the LA scene in the near future." – GottaDanceDirty.com

Jaw (from fellow fun boys dOP) joins forces with newcomer Lauren Lane to create a good-time party jam for all. “Lazer Eyez” borrows its sounds from the heady days of ‘80s freestyle, with funky synth bass, LinnDrum percussion, agogo bells, and our man Jaw delivering a swooning falsetto tribute to the disco monster in the title.” – Beatportal.com
