2009 DMC USA Finals
DubSpot DJ Classes Summer 2009
DubSpot Instructor & DMC Supremacy World Champion DJ Shiftee is one of the premiere battle DJs in the world. As the 2007 DMC Supremacy World Champion and 2008 IDA/ITF World Vice Champion, he actively performs turntablist showcases, Your browser may not support display of this image. experimental group projects, and party sets around the globe. After a dominant victory in the East Coast Regionals, on Saturday, August 1 Shiftee will compete for the national DMC title at Santos Party House. He will also be teaching several upcoming DubSpot DJ classes this summer including the DJ Extensive Package, Turntablism, plus a weekend workshop on Traktor.
DubSpot and Shiftee have also created a series of free instructional turntablist videos to give the public a taste of Shiftee’s skills and what the school has to offer. The first release (of five) is below, follow the DubSpot blog for more to come soon…
DubSpot Upcoming DJ Class Start Dates: Summer 2009
Registration is open for DubSpot's summer sessions. Get started on bringing your musical ambitions to life.
DubSpot DJ classes:
-Use standard Technics turntables and the latest in digital DJ technology, including the CDJ--1000's, Serato Scratch Live, & Native Instrument's Traktor Pro
- Blend two songs so they sound as one by developing a keen sense of rhythm and timing.
-Execute clean mixes and develop unique sound textures.
-Mix all styles of music - EDM, Techno, House, Hip-Hop, Dub, Soul, Funk, Down tempo, Bossa, Electro, Disco, Rock, Afro, Dancehall, Jazz, Latin, or whatever else you can imagine.
July 21: DJ Beginner & Extensive package will begin with DJ OBaH at 7:15pm every Tuesday.
July 21: Turntablism classes meeting also on Tuesday will begin with DJ Shiftee at 5:15pm. 1st class will include a special guest, Precision from the Executioners!
August 18: DJing with Video class with Lars of DVJ Vision begins Tuesdays at 5:15pm.
August 31: Extensive Package (Track 1) w/ DJ Shiftee & DJ Smasherelly

August 22 & 23: Digital DJing w/ Ableton (Instructor TBD)
August 29 & 30: Traktor Workshop w/ DJ Shiftee
