Armin van Buuren is proud to present to you: Mirage.  Initial pre-sales have already pushed Mirage into the US iTunes Top 5 Dance Albums chart, and the first single “Full Focus” has drawn widespread acclaim from DJs and fans alike – all leading up to one of the most anticipated releases of the year on September 14th (with a special pre-release on iTunes September 10th).

Says Armin of his newest work, “Mirage has been the biggest project I’ve ever worked on. There are so many hours in this. Work started two years ago when I actually built a completely new studio for this project. Many new techniques were used and most of all I had so much fun creating this with the many people that are involved. It was a journey, an epic one!”

As the first single of the album, Armin chose “Full Focus”, an instrumental track set to fill arenas and clubs while scorching across the festival terrains set up for the summer of 2010. The accompanying high-energy video is an epic performance filmed at Armin’s “A State Of Trance 450” nights, right during the time he was finalizing the album.

Mirage reveals a side of Armin his fans haven’t heard yet, and takes in its listeners with new and surprising collaborations. Within the 2 years of endless jamming and producing, Armin worked with dance music icons Ferry Corsten, BT, and Josh Gabriel, along with the talents of Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Nadia Ali, Guy Chambers, Christian Burns and Adam Young of Owl City.

Inspired and influenced by many different types of music, Mirage is more diverse than any other Armin album before. His collaboration with Sophie Ellis-Bextor, ‘Not Giving Up On Love’ is a perfect example of that, combining the best of both worlds. Armin says, “The Nervo Sisters, Sophie Ellis-Bextor and me met up to write the vocals for ‘Not Giving Up On Love’. I was thrilled to work with them on this. We gave it a more analog feel with some real drums, to give it a pop-rock feel. We also put a piano top line on the track and then the vocals of Sophie, which I think is a win. It’s a lush summer tune with an epic vocal that gets stuck in your head and cheers you up!”

Mirage is filled with musical fusions and surprising interpretations, from the orchestral masterpiece of title track “Mirage”, the deep trance track “I Don’t Own You” and housey “Feels So Good” to the eerie “Take A Moment” and feel-good “Drowning”. These 16 tracks highlight how Armin has matured as an artist.

Armin’s A State Of Trance radio show claims over 10 million listeners weekly, and its podcast version is downloaded over 50,000 times. He also co-founded and heads the seminal trance label Armada Music, which hosts a variety of top international superstars, as well as 27 sub-labels, all respected around the world.

Throughout his career, Armin’s tour schedule has typified the international DJ elite, headlining the largest festivals, while also packing the hottest clubs. This September, Armin is touring North America for select dates to celebrate the album release, including his second consecutive headlining performance at New York City’s massive Electric Zoo Festival on September 5th, 2010.

A brief glance at ATB’s touring schedule for the summer season reveals him clocking up the air miles as he graces the world’s finest clubs and stages from Gatecrasher in Jakarta, Indonesia, to the Electric Zoo festival on Randall’s Island in New York City. Events such as the Cafe Del Rio festival in Budapest, Hungary and the Baltic Beach festival in Liepaja, on the coast of Latvia, set the tone for the summer: a celebration of sound, sun and sand. Welcome to ATB’s Sunset Beach DJ Session.

With eight successful studio albums under his belt, André Tanneberger has long since proved his talent as an artist. Yet he is so much more than a mere producer and songwriter. In the world of Above & Beyond there’s only ever one way — up. In the last few years alone, the UK based production/DJ trio have debuted their full live show in front of 8,000 fans in Beirut, played to 1 million people on a beach in Rio de Janiero and even been chosen to soundtrack the unveiling of Virgin Galactic’s SpaceShipTwo. Not once, however, have they or their Anjunabeats label rested on their laurels. 

Across a span of over 170 releases, Above & Beyond’s Anjunabeats imprint has grown from humble beginnings to become a global standard-bearer for trance and melodic electronic music. Now, more than ever, it is is synonymous with a quality control that is all too lacking in today’s quick-fix digital age.

The two-disc Anjunabeats Volume 8 compilation is exactly how trance in 2010 should be. A journey showcasing the full spectrum of Above & Beyond’s sound, the compilation takes in electro-influenced grooves, deeper trance and hypnotic progressive textures alongside their trademark euphoric anthems.

Above & Beyond themselves offer a taste of their long awaited second artist album through the instant, emotional highlight ‘A Thing Called Love’, while their debut collaboration with respected German duo Kyau & Albert (‘Anphonic’) provides a driving, upbeat club monster that will be sending message boards, clubs and stadia crazy for months to come.

Hot off the heels of his acclaimed Balance series edition and a successful Winter Music Conference debut, forward-thinking Frenchman Agoria is set to embark on his North American tour as he makes his way to the Movement Electronic Music Festival in Detroit. With his recent spell-binding DJ sets at the Balance 16: Agoria release party and at the infamous Sunday School For Degenerates party in Miami, Agoria is now ready to bring his distinct track selection and mixing style to some of North America’s most forward thinking venues. Kicking off in New York City, with stops in Windsor, Detroit, and El Paso, the tour culminates with a much anticipated main stage performance at the10th anniversary of the electronic music festival in Detroit.

Agoria, otherwise known as Sebastien Devaud wasn’t bitten by the dance music bug until he was out of his teens, but once he began hunting imported 12”s from the US and Germany in his native France, there was no turning back. His production career began in 1999, with his debut album Blossom and first compilation following in 2003 – and it was clear even in those early days that a serious new talent was emerging. Blending the throb and groove of deeper, stripped-back techno with a keen sense of musicality, emotion and atmosphere, his is a sound that transcends beyond mere dancefloor disposability. His 2007 At The Controls compilation set a new standard for minimal tech-house with its impeccable programming and seductive mixing.

2010 has marked a banner year for Agoria with the release of Balance 016. After raising the bar to unprecedented heights in 2009 with Joris Voorn and Will Saul’s stunning additions to the Balance series, Agoria provides yet another standard-setting mix from one of the most sophisticated, forward thinking, and inspiring names in techno. “The concept of both CDs is all about balance. Porterhouse returns to Miami during Winter Music Conference week for its 6th straight year on Saturday, March 27th at intimate clubbing boîte B.E.D. DJ/producer Steve Porter first launched his inaugural assault on club denizens with his Porterhouse party at State nightclub back in 2005 – with an eclectic set made up of a combination of Big Room Electro, Techno and Progressive House with Break Beats for build-up that was so electrifying, he left the crowd clamoring for more of his infectious, signature style. Over the years, the Porterhouse parties were so successful that the critically acclaimed compilations ‘Porterhouse Volumes I and II’ were spawned and his distinct ‘Porterhouse Style’ was unleashed to the world. Though he has had immense underground notoriety since then, 2009 was undoubtedly a defining year for Steve Porter as he made his mark on the mainstream front as a powerful music and Youtube video producer.

Porter has never been afraid to take his music one-step further in the name of keeping things intriguing. Now at the pinnacle of his career, Steve Porter has composed so many video remixes that he not only has his own channel on Youtube now with over 16 million views but, he launched his own company Porterhouse Media to facilitate his new video remix projects which have garnered worldwide attention on press outlets such as TMZ, Fox News and ESPN. To date, his videos have been commissioned for FedEx, IBM’s Lotus Notes, and most recently, he is handling projects for ABC and he is set to produce the entire NBA “Where Amazing Happens” ad campaign with his video remixes for the 2010 playoffs.

At Coachella, Porter will debut a unique audio/visual live set full of original remixes as well as debut his “Superhero” remix collaboration with Jane’s Addition’s frontman Perry Farrell with an exclusive Perry Farrell vs. Steve Porter performance in the dance tent on Friday, April 16th.
