A brief glance at ATB’s touring schedule for the summer season reveals him clocking up the air miles as he graces the world’s finest clubs and stages from Gatecrasher in Jakarta, Indonesia, to the Electric Zoo festival on Randall’s Island in New York City. Events such as the Cafe Del Rio festival in Budapest, Hungary and the Baltic Beach festival in Liepaja, on the coast of Latvia, set the tone for the summer: a celebration of sound, sun and sand. With eight successful studio albums under his belt, André Tanneberger has long since proved his talent as an artist. Yet he is so much more than a mere producer and songwriter. Outside the studio, ATB has also established himself as one of the leading DJs on a global scale, booked throughout the year at headline club nights and events all over the world.

The Sunset Beach DJ Session sees André embarking on a new artistic journey along the compilation trail. Part 1 showcases an exquisite selection of brand new club tracks, blended into a superlative ATB DJ set. Part 2, meanwhile, introduces ATB in beach lounge mode, serving up a fantastic mix of contemporary tunes and timeless classics. Once again, André demonstrates his knack of hitting the perfect combination of tracks across the genre as his mix skills come to the fore.  Even better, there’s a special treat for ATB fans in store, with three exclusive new ATB songs and the new single “Could You Believe”.

This August, ATB lands in Las Vegas  to offer music enthusiasts a unique and sensory experience for 4 exclusive nights as he takes over the Perfecto residency for Paul Oakenfold’s Perfecto Vegas inside Rain Nightclub at the Palms Hotel every Saturday night.  ATB will serve this exclusive U.S. residency this summer, allowing partygoers to discover firsthand the unique electronic sounds and melodious club tracks that have made him a successful icon in the DJ and club industry since his solo breakthrough 12 years ago.  During this time, ATB plays in six additional U.S cities, including New York’s electronic music festival – Electric Zoo, along with fellow headliners The Chemical Brothers and Armin van Buuren.

In the world of Above & Beyond there’s only ever one way — up. In the last few years alone, the UK based production/DJ trio have debuted their full live show in front of 8,000 fans in Beirut, played to 1 million people on a beach in Rio de Janiero and even been chosen to soundtrack the unveiling of Virgin Galactic’s SpaceShipTwo. Not once, however, have they or their Anjunabeats label rested on their laurels. 

Across a span of over 170 releases, Above & Beyond’s Anjunabeats imprint has grown from humble beginnings to become a global standard-bearer for trance and melodic electronic music. The two-disc Anjunabeats Volume 8 compilation is exactly how trance in 2010 should be. A journey showcasing the full spectrum of Above & Beyond’s sound, the compilation takes in electro-influenced grooves, deeper trance and hypnotic progressive textures alongside their trademark euphoric anthems.

The anticipation for the 2010 edition of Electric Zoo continues to build with a lineup stacked full of electronic music heavyweights ready to descend on New York’s Randall’s Island Park this Labor Day weekend on September 4 & 5, 2010.  With a lineup that features headlining sets from The Chemical Brothers and Armin van Buuren and a who’s who of the world’s top DJs and electronic music artists, Electric Zoo is proud to announce the latest group of artists set to play New York’s biggest electronic music festival.  On Saturday, electronic hip-hop fusion outfit Pretty Lights provides a raucous headlining live performance. Other additions include UK’s veritable Radio 1 tastemaker Pete Tong, the future of Swedish house, rising star Avicii, UK’s certified electro hitmaker Fake Blood, two of France’s prized dance exports Joachim Garraud and electro minimalist Popof, and Germany’s techno maestro Reboot.  Stay tuned for the final announcement of acts to be added to this electric lineup as we count down the days!

SIRIUS XM’s Area channel will launch a new weekly show Electric Zoo Radio in anticipation of this year’s Electric Zoo Festival. The new limited-run weekly show will launch with an exclusive set from Grammy®-nominated DJ and producer Paul van Dyk on Thursday, June 17th at 8pm ET. Every Thursday leading up to the two-day Electric Zoo Festival, Electric Zoo Radio will showcase DJ sets and interviews with artists who are scheduled to appear at the festival. Hot off the heels of his acclaimed Balance series edition and a successful Winter Music Conference debut, forward-thinking Frenchman Agoria is set to embark on his North American tour as he makes his way to the Movement Electronic Music Festival in Detroit. With his recent spell-binding DJ sets at the Balance 16: Agoria release party and at the infamous Sunday School For Degenerates party in Miami, Agoria is now ready to bring his distinct track selection and mixing style to some of North America’s most forward thinking venues. Kicking off in New York City, with stops in Windsor, Detroit, and El Paso, the tour culminates with a much anticipated main stage performance at the10th anniversary of the electronic music festival in Detroit.

Agoria, otherwise known as Sebastien Devaud wasn’t bitten by the dance music bug until he was out of his teens, but once he began hunting imported 12”s from the US and Germany in his native France, there was no turning back. His production career began in 1999, with his debut album Blossom and first compilation following in 2003 – and it was clear even in those early days that a serious new talent was emerging. 2010 has marked a banner year for Agoria with the release of Balance 016. Randall’s Island Park has long enjoyed its position as a recreational hub for Manhattan and the surrounding boroughs for over half a century.  Centrally located on the banks of the East River, it is easily accessible from all points by car, bus, bicycle, pedestrian and ferry.  With plenty of acreage of grass to dance, chill and roam along with some of the city’s most stunning views of the Manhattan skyline, Randall’s Island is no doubt the perfect venue for the Electric Zoo festival.  With every ticket sold, a $2 donation goes toward the beautification of Randall’s Island through environmental art and stewardship.

April 26, 2010—Paxahau announced today Ricardo Villalobos will be performing in Detroit for the Movement Electronic Music Festival Powered by Ford Fiesta; the addition of a 5th stage sponsored by Movement Torino; and 32 more acts who will perform in Hart Plaza May 29-31, 2010 including Ghostland Observatory, Derrick May, Booka Shade, and Marco Carola.

Villalobos, a world-renowned microhouse and minimal techno DJ/producer, last performed in Detroit in 2002 when he played live at Paxahau Electronic Music Festival (PEMF), a four-day party that was held at the now closed Panacea Nightclub in downtown Detroit.

“Ricardo is looking forward to coming back to Detroit again after all these years,” said his Agent Goetz Guse of Cocoon Agency out of Frankfurt, Germany.  “His return to the United States and Detroit for the Movement Electronic Music Festival is exclusive to Paxahau.  He isn’t booked to perform at any other venue in the States, and we don’t anticipate he will be this year.”

In addition to Villalobos; the contemporary dance music duo Booka Shade from Berlin has been scheduled for a live performance; along with electro, rock, and funk duo Ghostland Observatory who will also perform live.

Movement Torino Sponsors 5th Stage at Detroit’s Movement Electronic Music Festival
Movement Torino, an electronic music festival in Italy that Paxahau formed a new partnership with in 2009, will be the sponsor of the fifth stage for the Movement Electronic Music Festival in Detroit May 29-31, 2010.  Last year the Movement Festival in Detroit had four stages.

“We are excited to have Movement Torino as the sponsor of the fifth stage for this year’s festival,” said Huvaere.  “Our international partnership when formed last year was historic and has since proved to be mutually beneficial for Movement Torino and Movement Detroit.”

In March a partial lineup of nearly 70 artists was released that included live performances by Kevin Saunderson’s Inner City; Juan Atkin’s Model 500; and Richie Hawtin presents Plastikman Live.

Other artists signed to Cocoon Agency scheduled to perform at this year’s Movement festival are Cassy and Onur Ozer, both were originally announced in March.  Guse said they too “are very excited to play at Movement 2010.”

Porterhouse returns to Miami during Winter Music Conference week for its 6th straight year on Saturday, March 27th at intimate clubbing boîte B.E.D. DJ/producer Steve Porter first launched his inaugural assault on club denizens with his Porterhouse party at State nightclub back in 2005 – with an eclectic set made up of a combination of Big Room Electro, Techno and Progressive House with Break Beats for build-up that was so electrifying, he left the crowd clamoring for more of his infectious, signature style. Over the years, the Porterhouse parties were so successful that the critically acclaimed compilations ‘Porterhouse Volumes I and II’ were spawned and his distinct ‘Porterhouse Style’ was unleashed to the world. Paxahau has teamed up this year with Ford Motor Company to present the Movement Electronic Music Festival Powered by Ford Fiesta Saturday, May 29 through Monday May 31.
