Pacha NYC presents UK superstar DJ JOHN DIGWEED on tour for his recent Transitions Vol. 4 album on Friday, September 19^th, 2008 for an unforgettable night with one of the world’s finest musical selectors.

John Digweed concludes the first chapter of his Transitions series with the highly anticipated fourth volume Transitions Vol. 4.  “I’ve developed the amount of tracks and layering over the series,” says Digweed, “And we’ve taken it to the next level with this latest volume, it’s the most intense and intrinsic yet, which meant replacements, additions, editing and a lot of time consuming assessments and re-assessments.” Over the course of 22 tracks and 73 minutes John weaves a unique musical thread. From favourites such as Ink & Needle, Guy J and Pig & Dan through to welcome debuts from Henry Saiz, Myers Briggs or Soliquid, all are concisely constructed in the mix to the point where 3 are often playing at anyone time. In fact, due the resulting complexity, John decided to re-structure the trackmark points to better reflect the more developed passages – and so twenty two records became ten for one of the most original compilations you’ll hear this year and a fitting finale to the series in its current guise.

Over the last 8 years trance music’s true artisans: Jono Grant, Tony McGuinness, & Paavo Siljamäki have cultivated Anjunabeats from its backroom beginnings to the apex of worldwide dance recognition. DJ Mag described Anjunabeats in 2008 as “the most consistent trance label in the world” and its discography has engaged the playlists of pretty much every EDM DJ out there. Central to that success has been the forging of the oft-noted ‘Anjunabeats sound’… Part of the label’s DNA from the very start, it has rendered their releases instantly identifiable as ‘an Anjuna track’ to music lovers & diehard clubbers alike.

Here in 2008 Above & Beyond themselves need very little introduction. 2 top 20 hits (including one under their OceanLab alias) and a mega-selling, hugely-praised debut album in the form of ‘Tri-State’ have firmly established them (to quote Pete Tong) as “the UK’s new dance superstars”. In addition to that they’ve remixed some of the world’s most influential artists (including Madonna & Dido) and regularly DJ to stadium-sized audiences, most recently performing to an audience of 1 million on Barra Beach in Rio on New Year’s Eve. World Renowned Club Brand PACHA Teams Up with Ultra Records

To Release ‘PACHA NEW YORK’ The Pacha nightclub brand has become synonymous with the best in dance music, so it was only a natural step to team up with America’s favorite dance music label, Ultra Records. This partnership will bear its first release on November 20th, with legendary NYC nightlife persona and the world’s biggest selling DJ: Louie DeVito at the helm as the mixer of the project.

PACHA NEW YORK is a double disc effort that encompasses some of the largest names in the electronic music genre, with surefire dancefloor gems that have been tested and clubber approved. The star-studded line-up includes The Chemical Brothers, David Guetta, Axwell, Armand Van Helden, Benny Benassi, Tim Deluxe, and Sander Van Doorn. Inspired by Pacha NYC’s legendary club nights, this mix was created to bring the nightclub home to the listener’s living room.

Louie DeVito’s record for selling albums is one for the record books. Literally. He placed in the Guinness Record Books for his all-time best-selling DJ mix compilation. This compilation was his first installation in his fantastically successful New York City Underground Party series (Volumes 1-7) with over 440,000 albums sold to date.

This is Louie’s 2nd Pacha CD and his first for the NYC outpost of the famed club brand. He has toured around Pacha’s global venues this past year, and will bring his choice selection of dance hits to the New York venue on November 30th to celebrate the Pacha New York release.

Louie DeVito is a DJ and producer based in New York City who has been performing for the last decade. His best-selling mix series, NYC Underground Party (Volumes 1-7) continues to sell, and has sold over 400,000 copies to date. The series were the first DJ driven compilations to break into the Billboard Top 100 chart and the first DJ driven compilation to secure the #1 HeatseekersChart position in Billboard. In 2002, he was chosen exclusively to DJ at the first annual “GQ Men Of The Year” Awards on NBC.
