RALPH FALCON
[murk]

Pacha NYC presents dance music renaissance man Mark Brown for his Pacha NYC debut on Friday, August 8th, 2008. CR2 record label head and A&R extraordinaire Brown joins half of Miami’s notorious Murk duo, Ralph Falcon under Pacha’s roof honoring their latest releases on Nervous Records.

As one half of successful DJ duo the M.Y.N.C. Project, Brown has landed new-found success as a solo artist with his recent chart-busting solo release “The Journey Continues” featuring Sarah Cracknell of St Etienne on his successful label Cr2. The hit single is now signed to the legendary US house imprint Nervous Records and with work on his debut artist album underway, he continues his rise to success. Previously as head of Credence, Brown signed and developed burgeoning artists such as Dirty Vegas and Eric Prydz, as well as signing top hits like Green Velvet’s seminal ‘La La Land” and Lee Cabrera’s summer anthem ‘Shake It’. Now at the helm of his own label Cr2 he helped launch the careers of Fedde Le Grande and The Egg to much acclaim.

Made Event presents ATB @ Pacha NYC - June 13th

Made Event presents

ATB
With Randy Boyer

Made Event presents one of the world’s most talented and in-demand DJ/Producers, ATB, for an evening of intense electronic dance music at Pacha NYC, on Friday, June 13th, 2008.

Few have been able to match the commercial and underground success of Andre Tanneberger, aka, ATB. From the start, he has provided us with timeless classics including his first hit in 1999 “9 P.M. (Till I Come)” which catapulted him onto the global scene. Using this success ATB was able to produce five albums in eleven years. Four of which made it into the German Top 10. His resume includes countless remixes and productions and has worked with everyone from Moby to Enigma and even rock star Bryan Adams.

His unique sound is his trademark and what his fans have come to adore. He has the ability to fuse ambient and trance with a wide variety of musical influences that has allowed for his accomplishments. A perfect example is his newest album titled “Trilogy”. The album was a clear-cut illustration of how electronic music can work beautifully with ‘handmade music’ or music made from real instruments, producing two hit singles in ‘Renegade’ and ‘Feelin Alive’.

This year ATB’s goal is to work on his next album and to tour in countries he has never played to. He just completed his first tour of South America and with great success, returned to Europe with shows across the continent. Adorned by many, ATB is a fixture at all major festivals and events, especially Loveparade, one of his personal favorites. When he touches down in New York City for his Pacha event, he will have just finished an appearance at Global Gathering. With the intensity the Gathering provides, New York will be in for a pleasant surprise.

ATB “The DJ 4” World Tour 2008 2CD mix compilation is available now.

Made Event presents Markus Schulz + Cloud Break Recordings Record Release Party @ Pacha - May 23

Made Event presents

MARKUS SCHULZ

Special Extended Set With AlterImage

Downstairs:
Cloud Break Recordings Record Release Party
Emjae, Clouded Minds, Zach Roth, Mike Swells, DJ Eco

Made Event presents globe-trotting DJ Markus Schulz, playing an extended set at Pacha with AlterImage on Friday, May 23rd.

2008 kicks off with the release of Markus Schulz’s fourth compilation ‘Amsterdam 08’ for Armada Music This album follows in the footsteps of Miami 05 and Ibiza 06, and Markus Schulz couldn’t be happier about its origins – Amsterdam is his spiritual home thanks to the overwhelming passion of the people resident there. “I always choose cities that are dear to me for my annual mix compilation” says Markus. “I just love Amsterdam, I feel a real connection there – my friends there are like my family. The people of Holland were one of the first to embrace and accept me and my sound, so it was the natural choice to do the 08 mix there.

Markus’ brand of dark, melodic trance is in demand the world over; his weekly Global DJ Broadcast radio show is now syndicated to over 30 stations worldwide, his shows have taken in everywhere from Australia to Russia, China to Trinidad, and many other destinations along the way, and 2008 is set to bring more dates in Australia, as well as Asia and South America. Amsterdam 08 is a must-have album for dance fans everywhere, and comprises Markus’ top tracks from 2007 and hot tips for 2008.

Next up, Markus Schulz is firing on all cylinders at the moment with four massive new remixes of his 2007 smash track, “Daydream”. The remixes come from some of the hottest producers on the scene right now. Einar K and Lemon storm in with two takes on the original, the Progressive Remix and the stunning Uplifting Remix, which is guaranteed to give you goose-bumps with its soaring euphoric melodies and driving basslines. Progressive-trance master Benya turns in his hand, providing a beautifully dubby, dreamy track perfect for those sun-soaked terrace mornings. Finally German sensation Ronski Speed lets loose a thundering new mix with bass-heavy rhythms wrapped around the original tune and vocals.

His second artist album, Progression, released in 2007, offers listeners a slice of his trademark dark, melodic trance, alongside chilled tracks, guitars, and sublime vocals. Says Markus, “Progression was conceived in the summer, whereas the debut album was done and released in winter, so Progression is less dark, and more influenced by sunny days in Miami. ‘Trinidad to Miami’ was actually written while I was flying over the ocean with the sun shining on the water, and encapsulates that feeling of optimism and happiness.

Markus, who also runs his own Coldharbour label, has over the past three years crossed the globe on an almost constant basis; from Australia to Russia, and as far away as China and Trinidad. Along with playing his hometown of Miami, Markus was also found in Ibiza at his summer residency at Amnesia; The Two Tribes Tour in Australia and New Zealand; Tomorrowland in Belgium; Mysterland and Trance Energy in The Netherlands; Nature One in Germany; Distant Heat in Jordan, and clubs in Kuala Lumpur, Romania, Czech Republic, Mexico, Sweden, Finland, Hungary, Slovakia, UK, Boston, Los Angeles, and New York, as the list goes on. With Markus showing no sign of slowing down in 2008, he is a man on a mission to meet the world.

Markus Schulz Amsterdam 08 is out now on Armanda Music.
Markus Schulz “Daydream” remixes is out June 23 on Coldharbour Records.

Pacha NYC Joins Dance Parade
With The
Martinez Brothers

On Saturday, May 17th
Parade down Broadway to
Tompkins Square Park
Dance festival finale in the park

On Saturday, May 17th, 2008 thousands will be dancing in the streets of New York City to mark the second annual Dance Parade. The parade encompasses virtually all forms of dance, bringing together 29 genres of dance, loads of dancers, live bands, colorful floats and talented DJs. This year, one float that will definitely stand out will be that of New York City’s biggest nightclub, Pacha NYC. Designed and decorated by the same talented crew that prepares the mega club for all of its grand events, the float will surely be one to remember. Adorned by the signature Pacha cherries and talented, costumed dancers, the float will be helmed by Bronx teenage phenoms The Martinez Brothers, who are bound to bring the same high energy they express in their DJ shows to the streets of New York City. Then afterwards, join Victor Calderone for his EVOLVE residency with special guests The Martinez Brothers at Pacha NYC for dancing into the night.Dance Parade was established to celebrate the art form of dance, which in most cases takes place in many of the nightclubs in NYC. Of all the entries into the parade, however, the only nightclub to participate is in fact Pacha. Since its opening in 2005, Pacha NYC has become an international clubbing destination, as well as winning the “Best Superclub” title at the Club World Awards in 2007 & 2008. Each and every night at Pacha exhibits a new experience coupled with elegance and professionalism synonymous with the worldwide cosmopolitan clubbing brand.

The Martinez Brothers were born and raised in New York City and in a few short years Chris and Steve Martinez jumped into the dance music and have taken it over by storm with recent shows at Pacha NYC and Cielo. Originally discovered by renowned DJ and producer, Dennis Ferrer, the two find a way to mix classics with today’s music in a way few have succeeded at. The brothers bring a level of energy that is synonymous to New York and akin to their soulful roots.

Dance Parade seeks to honor Dance’s historical roots in the city as well as unite in respecting Dance’s diversity. Last year marked the start of a tradition heralded by many in the streets of New York City. The art of dance now has a large stage to celebrate all its forms in front of the world. This year’s parade will exhibit nearly 5,000 dancers in over 50 different styles of dance. Everything from house to hip-hop, ballet to belly dance, B-boy to the rumba, and from salsa to swing, will all converge down Broadway together. It will surely be a delight to all in attendance and participation, as we legitimize Dance as a communicative, social form of expression. Come support the music and dance that drives you…Come Dance with us on May 17th, 2008!
