Pacha NYC presents
WILL.I.AM
(DJ Set)
along with Richard Vission

Pacha NYC proudly presents the return of the international tastemaker and multi talented frontman for The Black Eyed PeasWill.i.am along with Richard Vission on Friday July 30th, 2010.

What is there that can be said about the international superstar Will.i.am that isn’t already known around the world.  Widely recognized as the frontman of the multi platinum hip hop group, The Black Eyed Peas, Will.i.am is a true pop music hitmaker who also happens to be an avid follower and lover of dance music culture.  The group’s latest album “The E.N.D.” for which they received 6 Grammy Nominations and entered Billboard’s Top 200 album chart at number 1 and spent 26 consecutive weeks on the Hot 100 chart with “Boom Boom Pow” and “I Gotta Feeling”.   The album featured production from such established dance music figures as Mark Knight and, of course, David Guetta.  The Guetta produced “I Gotta Feeling” immediately became a worldwide anthem, holding the top chart position for 14 weeks.  Since then, Will.I.Am has been featured on another Guetta bomb “I Wanna Go Crazy”, as well as material from the likes of Boys Noize, Fedde le Grand, and Steve Aoki.  With the popularity of the hip hop and electronic hybrid sound seemingly increasing by the day, one will be hard pressed to find a figure more responsible for its rise then Will.i.am.  The self described “electro” DJ first played Pacha NYC back in November 2009 to a capacity crowd. With a line around the block and a few high profile surprise guests, New York’s only super club provided the perfect venue for his unique brand of mash ups, edits, electro-house, live MCing and multiple other DJ tricks.  Fresh back from headlining David Guetta’s infamous F*** Me I’m Famous party with Afrojack at Pacha Ibiza, the 7 time Grammy award winner returns to New York for an event not to be missed!

Playing alongside Will.i.am is a DJ who is no stranger to dance music success.  Grammy nominated remixer/ producer Richard Vission has been rocking dance floors around the world for over a decade now.   The Los Angeles native has remixed the likes of Radiohead, U2, The Black Eyed Peas, Timbaland, Prince, Lady Gaga and David Bowie, as well as put out a stream of successful original productions like “Somebody”, “Never Be Alone” and his latest collaboration with Static Revenger “I Like That”. Vission consistently ranks in the TOP 30 USA DJs and continues to show no signs of slowing down, celebrating a million selling career while staying true to his underground roots.

Chuckie has been making a name for himself around the world by putting his signature deep, dirty house sound on remixes for David Guetta, Bob Sinclar and Joachim Gaurraud. His talent for building insanely intense climaxes, then delivering devastatingly explosive beats, is no child’s play. Killer original tracks like “Let The Bass Kick” have launched him into the top 10 British Singles Charts and won him praise from Swedish House Mafia, Laidback Luke and Pete Tong. In summer 2008, David Guetta handpicked Chuckie to play at his event at Pacha in Ibiza, saying “he is mixing the hip-hop vibe with house music like no one else!” Chuckie has won numerous accolades, including the Dutch TMF “Best Dance DJ” Award last year, for which he beat out super DJs Tiësto and Armin Van Buuren. This year, he also won the inaugural Best Remix Data Award in L.A. for his remix of David Guetta’s “Sexy Bitch.”

In 2005, Chuckie created the now-legendary, always sold-out “Dirty Dutch” house music event, attended by over thirty thousand music lovers. Dirty Dutch made its WMC debut at Cameo in Miami this year, featuring Chuckie himself, Estelle, Afrojack and Sidney Samson (among others), and he plans to bring the party to selected cities around the globe. Indeed, Chuckie is taking over the U.S. in 2010 with a freshly inked multi-album deal with Atlantic Records and work with stars like Jermaine Dupri, P. Diddy, Lil Jon, Toni Braxton and Akon.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Friday, May 7th, 2010
Made Event presents
MARKUS SCHULZ
w/ Zack Roth
@ Pacha NYC

Proton Sessions in the Basement featuring:
Royal Sapien (Proton, Olaris)
Jacob Henry (Silk Royal, microCastle)
Matt Lange (Armada, Black Hole)
Dezza (Silk, Dezire)

Made Event presents the return of Coldharbour Recordings boss and new wave trance superstar Markus Schulz along with NYC favorite Zack Roth at Pacha NYC with a special Proton Sessions in the basement on Friday, May 7th, 2010.

Through his natural audience affinity, flawless mixing and innate tune selection, Markus Schulz has wowed crowds in every major area of the world for over a decade. Though an active DJ and producer during the 1990’s, it was not until the 2000’s when he began to reach mass audiences with his, now trademark, trance sound. Now a regular fixture at the world’s most famous clubs, arenas and festivals, Schulz lays down his unique musical vision on a weekly basis. In Europe, he has smashed events like Trance Energy, Nature One, Dance Valley, Creamfields and Global Gathering. At home in the USA, he has graced the decks of the colossal Electric Daisy Carnival, Ultra Festivals, as well as the inaugural Electric Zoo.  After several significant showings in the Top 100 DJs chart, he now ranks as one of the top 10 DJs in the world.

On top of his globetrotting tour schedule, Markus manages to broadcast his weekly radio show, the Global DJ Broadcast.  The show puts a spotlight on Schulz dark, melodic trance sound on over 50 stations worldwide.  Now in its fifth year, the show has continued to be a beacon for an always-growing throng of trance & progressive dance fans.   His label Coldharbour Recordings also provides Schulz with a platform to release his own material as well as work from some of progressive music’s most gifted producers.  Now on the threshold of its 100th release “Dark Heart Waiting”, Coldharbour has firmly established itself as a premier destination for quality trance and progressive music.

Now, after 18 months of studio sessions, Schulz is set to release Do You Dream, the follow up to his 2007 acclaimed artist album Progression.  Since the earliest days of his label, fans and critics alike have seen Schulz as both the leading-light pioneer and ultimate standard-bearer of trance’s new wave. The album instantly absorbs the listener back into that world, delivering a masterful start-to-finish audio experience.  From the first track Do You Dream charts a tightly-plotted course uniquely his own, embracing housey percussion, swirling atmospheric progressive, drum & bass-ish bass lines, stunningly-cultivated vibrant trance riffs and a myriad of other sounds, effects and minutiae styles.  The album features some of the scene’s finest vocalists including Jennifer Rene, Justine Suissa, and Ana Criado and contains tracks which have been highlights of Markus Schulz sets since 2008, like “The New World”, “Perception”, and the album’s title track.  You can also check out Markus’ sound on his latest mix for April’s DJ Magazine, which marks the 15th anniversary of UK clubbing institution The Gallery.

‘Do You Dream’ will be released on June 12 on Armada Music.

the Italian megaclub DJ and producer Benny Benassi” -New York Times

Pacha NYC Podcast Episode 049: Benny Benassi
The Grammy award winning Italian superstar drops in for 60mins of non-stop bombs!

Pacha NYC proudly presents two titans of electro: the return of resident DJ Benny Benassi and debut of special guest Steve Aoki at Pacha NYC on Friday, May 21st, 2010.

For more than two decades the pulsating dirty, sweaty and smooth sound of Italian DJ/producer Benny Benassi has been electrifying crowds with his techno-tinged house jams and remixes. His first club hit, “I Feel So Fine” (released under the name KMC, feat. Dhany), reached #1 on the UK charts in 2001. In 2003, his solo debut album Hypnotica, featuring the worldwide mega hit “Satisfaction,” earned him international recognition and praise from Carl Cox, Boy George, and Timo Maas followed by “Rock’n’ Rave.” Since then, he has remixed Madonna, Outkast, Goldfrapp, Shakira, Kid Cudi (just to name a few), and won  a Grammy for Best Remix (Dance) of Public Enemy’s “Bring the Noise.” Benny Benassi is currently ranked the #10 DJ on the DJ List and his new single, “Spaceship” produced by Basic Studio with his cousin Alle Benassi, featuring Kelis, App.de.ap and Jean-Baptiste is due for release on Ultra Records worldwide, soon to be followed by an album. Currently, Benny is touring across the five continents with his Benassi and Friends Tour. Meanwhile, check out what’s hot on his monthly radio mix on Sirius XM Radio’s channel Area and be sure to peep the video for Benny Benassi vs. Iggy Pop “Electro Sixteen,” out now on Ultra Records, the mindblowingly kaleidoscopic experimental music video featuring more than 15,000 photographs from his DJ set at New York’s Electric Zoo Festival.

Joining him to send shockwaves across the dancefloor is DJ/producer/connoisseur of cool Steve Aoki, spinning at Pacha NYC for his very first time. Founder of Dim Mak Records, Steve Aoki has launched artists including Bloc Party, The Kills, Klaxons, MSTRKRFT, The Bloody Beetroots and The Gossip. He has put his hyper-electro stamp on remixes for everyone from Drake and Duran Duran to The Killers and Weezer, and his most recent remix of Kid Cudi’s “Pursuit of Happiness” is quickly achieving anthem status.  Steve Aoki’s 2008 mix album, Pillowface and His Airplane Chronicles debuted at #15 on the Billboard Electronic Chart; in that same year, he entered the ranks of top DJs who have played for the legendary BBC Radio 1’s Essential Mix. His production group Weird Science (along with Blake Miller) has produced not only Dim Mak originals, but also tracks for Snoop Dogg, Peaches and Rooney. Among other awards, Steve Aoki has won “Best DJ of the Year” from Paper Magazine and the “Best Set of the Season” Ibiza Award in 2007, and has landed on the covers of BPM Magazine, Status Magazine, and L.A. Times’ West Magazine. Not stopping at music, he developed his own collection of tee shirts and hoodies for the Dim Mak Collection, as well as headphones for WESC, sunglasses for KSUBI and bags with Burton. Be sure to give a spin to his newest track, “I’m In the House,” feat. Zuper Blahq, which currently is a top 10 track on the iTunes dance store.

Pacha NYC presents
DANNY TENAGLIA
Birthday Bash
DT Returns to NYC

Pacha NYC proudly presents the long-awaiting return of  Danny Tenaglia as we celebrate his birthday at Pacha NYC on Saturday, April 24th, 2010.

The one and only Danny Tenaglia returns to New York for his legendary birthday celebration! Fresh from demolishing Miami for the 24th year in a row, DT comes home to treat you with a slew of certified dancefloor bombs, from his brand new Lady Gaga remix to the twisted techno that keeps everyone’s jaw (and feet) firmly on the floor. Fresh off three roaring parties at this year’s Winter Music Conference, 2010 already see’s Danny Tenaglia maintaining a solid touring schedule with dates around the world.  A year that kicked off with his first Australian tour in a decade now sees Danny return to his native New York for his annual birthday blow-out.   Danny Tenaglia’s birthday bash has been a staple on the dance music calendars of club goers near and far.  From his earlier days at Vinyl to his newest residency at Pacha NYC, this “DJ’s DJ” is known to possess the uncanny ability to connect with his audiences, big or small, in the most intimate of ways.  With mixing skills that border on super human and an almost telepathic sense to consistently drop just the right record at just the right time, Danny Tenaglia is, simply put, one of the best in the business.  These days, even after almost three decades in the studio and behind the decks, it seems that Danny Tenaglia is enjoying the pinnacle of his career.  With one of dance music’s most adoring and loyal fan bases, he always packs the world’s top venues to capacity, while never disappointing the thousands in attendance.  Expect deep, dark house from classics both past, present and future to make up an extended set which will give the city yet another excuse not to sleep.
