Pacha NYC presents the mega-Italian DJ Mauro Picotto on Friday, June 12, 2009 for an unforgettable night of his pulsating electronic grooves. Before he takes off for his Meganite residency in Ibiza, Picotto will showcase his techno sounds with cutting edge  electronic wizardry fused with pulsating infectious, gyrating, badass grooves.

The Italian techno titan launches Meganite at Privilege, Ibiza every Wednesday that houses guests such as Adam Beyer, Josh Wink, Steve Rachmad, Exercise One Live, Marco Carola, Polder Live, Anja Schneider, Paco Osuna, Technasia Live, Mark Broom, Wighnomy Brothers, Hugo, 2000andOne, Lutzenkirchen Live, Christian Smith, Paul Ritch live pumping out the best in techno, house and sultry grooves to the purist music crown, in an environment that resembles a hi-tech cave open to all genres and subgenres of the clubbing sound. Having started out as a dream in Mauro Picotto’s ever expanding mind, it wasn’t long before the over-zealous production aesthetics, surroundings and aural desires of Meganite soon became a reality for the Italian tech-trance prodigy.

Launched in 2004 as a mid-weekly event at Privilege, Meganite “electronic music lifestyle” gained instant kudos, becoming the talk of the white isle and all that flocked to it, packing out the dancefloors of the world’s largest nightclub every week. It was Mauro’s never-ending passion and dedication for taking inspiration from his various global adventures and experiences from different cultures, injecting all the worldly goodness onto one dancefloor that made Meganite such a resounding success, providing an innovative atmosphere for all those wanting to experience something unique.

Pacha NYC presents the debut of mega-Italian DJ MAURO PICOTTO at mega-club Pacha on Friday, August 29th, 2008 for an unforgettable night of his pulsating electronic grooves. This special NYC night heralds his new 2xCD compilation Mauro Picotto presents Meganite Ibiza, featuring many of his biggest hits to date with new remixes and edits by Mauro, his team of likeminded studio manipulators and others.

Italian techno titan Mauro Picotto launched his Meganite at Winter Music Conference back in 2002, which has since morphed into a self-fulfilling prophecy. The event has become a phenomenon, going from strength to strength, hosting nights all over the world and this year returning to Ibiza for its fifth successful year at Privilege, the World’s Biggest Club. Meganite is the full and complete representation of Mauro’s desires. It’s his people with his favorite DJs doing what they want to do, knowing it’s what the crowd wants too. This new compilation on the Big In Ibiza label represents just that, the music that makes Meganite, its DJs and Mauro Picotto so special.

Mauro Picotto presents Meganite Ibiza contains a live mix of exclusive cuts culled from Mauro’s superb Alchemy label and a CD of mixes, remixes and new tracks from Mauro’s illustrious career. Including the original mix of Iguana and a brand new remix of Lizard for 2008, two of the tracks which helped establish Mauro’s early career and propelled him onto the global dancefloor. This is where Mauro is in 2008 and as ever it’s on the cutting edge of electronic wizardry fused with pulsating infectious gyrating badass grooves.

Made Event presents Italian techno titan MAURO PICOTTO and Dutch phenom SANDERVAN DOORN at Webster Hall– Friday, December 7th, 2007.

After many years spending half his life producing and doing A&R for BXR Records at the Media Records studio complex in Brescia, Italy, and half DJing every weekend, Mauro Picotto decided in 2003 to dedicate his energy towards to his DJ career and his own Meganite branded events and parties. Now with Meganites in London, Miami, Turin, Glasgow, Montreal, and at Priviledge in Ibiza, Mauro frequently plays much of his own music designed specifically for the mood & energy of these nights. His sound now is a fusion of funky minimal house, with the techy edge and melodic elements that were always involved with his trademark sound. With renewed energy in 2007, Mauro sees the release of his new artist album ‘Now & Then’, on the brand new imprint SW Records and the Meganite Ibiza 2007 CD and DVD, following another successful season of the Meganite residency in Ibiza, now in its 4th year. This is a fresh and exciting new chapter in Mauro’s incredible career, and Now & Then is an excellent album marking a brilliant shift in musical direction.

In just four years, and coming out of nowhere Sander van Doorn’s rapid ascent continues with his latest #15 ranking in the DJ Mag Top 100 poll and the launch of his own label Doorn Records. With Sander on A&R duties, the ethos behind Doorn Records is simple – to discover new, unsigned talent and expose it to the world. To date the response has been tremendous with heaps of new tracks being submitted, be it via Myspace or the website. The first release on Doorn Records will be Sander’s own massive “Riff” with a killer remix by none other than techno giant, mister CARL COX! On the horizon for 2008, Sander readies his long-awaited debut long player and a global album tour.
