style="text-align: center;">
* Powered By Integral Sound

Sunday School For Degenerates will once again descend upon Miami to mark the end of conference week in grand fashion. Now in its fifth installment, the 24 hour party extravaganza has become a virtual who’s who of industry figures, the world’s most elite underground techno artists, and slews of ‘in the know’ clubbers. This year, Made Event will be bringing the 24 hour lesson in afterhours debauchery back to downtown Miami’s massive Ice Palace. On Saturday night, the venue will open its huge indoor area for dancing, as well as outdoor terrace lounge for chilling. The outdoor garden, complete with shade, seating, and DJ sets along with palm trees, verdant lawns, and bright yellow school buses, will be open for business all day on Sunday. As expected, the space will feature a unique layout, full bar and food for the entire 24 hours, and a fully customized sound system from Integral Sound.

The 2010 edition of Sunday School For Degenerates kicks off on the evening of Saturday, March 27th as Victor Calderone takes to the decks for a very special performance inside Ice Palace’s massive indoor area. A veritable virtuoso of the scene, Pacha NYC resident DJ, Calderone has inspired, enthralled and entertained music fans the world over for 20+ years. Lately, he has morphed his traditional tribal based sound into the realms of energizing techno, and doing so with amazing results. This style has been on full display recently, including an inspired set at the Sunday School tent at the inaugural Electric Zoo festival in NYC. Playing alongside Calderone will be Drumcode label head Adam Beyer. Beyer has been a globetrotting ambassador of all things techno and the figurehead of the Swedish techno scene for well over a decade.

On Sunday morning and all day long, SSFD welcomes their eclectic lineup of techno heavyweights, beginning with Sunday School staple Adultnapper. Every time he steps to the decks, he brings his haunting brand of micro rhythmic techno, enthralling and hypnotizing even the most jaded of audiences. One of the most sophisticated and inspiring names in techno, Frenchman Agoria brings his distinct sound to Miami for his Miami debut! His Balance 016: Agoria is a huge 2CD mix which continues the compilation’s trend of releasing groundbreaking mixes from some of the world’s most forward thinking artists. Dig Deeper founder and worldwide DJ favorite Danny Howells makes his first SSFD appearance this year. Known for extended sets that push the limits of progressive, house, and techno, Danny Howells surely needs no further introduction. Get Physical boss DJ T is veteran of the club scene for 20+ years and now leads one of the industry’s most respected labels. He has just come off a world tour for his artist album The Inner Jukebox and his latest mix, Fabric 51: DJ T is out soon. Parisian trio dOP have been relentlessly touring the world for the last three years and these Supplemental Facts favorites are bringing their unique and innovative live set. One of the true underground hero’s of techno, Function is bringing his ferocious live set exclusively to Sunday School. Last year she was a newcomer, but with arguably one of the event’s favorite sets, Swedish Ida Engberg returns for round 2. The king of eclectic techno and Tyrant partner Lee Burridge brings his wonky, bouncy, and sublime techno. Freude Am Tanzen and Vakant mainstay Mathias Kaden has built a unique sound based around funky and freaky rhythms drawn from global influences. His latest album Studio 10 attests to Mathias’ ability to focus on quality over quantity, centering diverse live performances around simple beats. A Circo Loco favorite, Moon Harbour’s Matthias Tanzmann is rooted in deep grooves with a sound that ranges from European influenced deep house on through to minimal, and bordering on advanced techno. Another favorite, Mr.C has been an underground hero for over two decades. His collaboration with Adultnapper, Sycophant Slags has just released their “Keep Off” EP and video on Poker Flat Recordings. Minus artist and spanish techno veteran Paco Osuna’s rich textures, analogue EFX, loose drum crescendos, and memorable vocal samples will highlight his set from this Plus 8 favorite. Polish techno star Pawel plays exclusively for Sunday School, with a decade’s worth of single’s, a self titled artist album and the much respected label Orphanear to his credit. Adding something a little different to the stacked lineup of established techno heavyweights will be Frenchman Sébastien Léger adding his own signature sound to the mix. Having recently been named #8 in Resident Advisor’s Best DJs of 2009 Poll, Seth Troxler has rapidly gained notoriety throughout the scene. From Detroit to Berlin and everywhere in between, Seth has made a name for himself playing some of the most unique sets in the business, while noticeably enjoying every minute he steps behind the decks. His next move for world domination is an unsurprisingly excellent compilation for BPitch’s Boogybytes Vol. 5. Boston upstarts Soul Clap have busted onto the scene in a big way. With releases on Wolf + Lamb and Airdrop to their credit, they are able to throw down sets comprised of everything from deep house and techno mixed with R&B and soul elements. Now returning for the 5th year, Dessous, Poker Flat, and Audiomatique founder Steve Bug has been one of the scene’s unsung pioneers and a Made Event favorite for some time. Tom Middleton brings his jedi mind tricks and canny ability to play almost any kind of music imaginable, while surprising all who think otherwise. Rounding out this massive lineup is Dessous favorite Vincenzo. Drawing influence from the acid house movement of the late 80’s and bridging the gap between deep house and minimal, Vincenzo continues to reinvent electronic music, as well as collaborate with some of the scene’s finest.

“Made Event’s annual Sunday School for Degenerates party…has become mandatory for all of the WMC’s technoheads. style="text-decoration: underline;">Saturday, February 20th, 2010.

There is no denying that Mr. C is a legend of dance music. Over the span of his 20+ years in the scene he has tried his hand at virtually every aspect of it. Mr.C’s musical career began as an MC in the U.K. As the vicious front man for the hip hop outfit The Shamen, he was responsible for a string of mainstream and club hits during the early 90’s. After that came his successful solo career as a DJ/Producer, as well as club owner. Along with partner Layo Paskin, their clubs The End and AKA Bar provided Londoners with memorable nights for well over a decade. During their tenure, the venues became two of the city’s most legendary dance establishments. His many labels include Plink Plonk, The End Recordings, and Superfreq Recordings, which also is the name of his world famous club night. Mr. C has released countless productions under a variety of aliases for some of the world’s most prestigious techno and house labels including Sexonwax and Hallucination Ltd.

His latest collaborative effort is with New York’s own Adultnapper under the Sycophant Slags moniker. Their newly released EP on Poker Flat, “Keep Off” is a trippy slice of underground house. A tight, clean, and superbly produced track, “Keep Off” also marks Mr. C’s return to vocal duties. With the catchy “sky’s the limit” refrain, the track has immediately lifted itself to late night anthem status. The EP also features unique interpretations from renowned acts Reboot and The Wighnomy Brothers. Mr. C has also released his first solo EP in nearly 5 years with ‘Lunar EP’ on Wagon Repair. Lunar EP showcases his diversity with three distinct variations on one common theme. The sunrise perfect “Full Moon”, deep after hours style “Waxing, and peak time “Dark Moon” come together to form a complete representation of the sounds that make up a Mr.C set.

Mr. C is joined by several of house and techno’s most esteemed artists to showcase Poker Flat Recordings. His Sycophant Slags partner and Brooklyn’s own master of deep, brooding techno Adultnapper will also take to the decks. Making his long awaited return to New York City will be Martin Landsky for a special 5 hour extended set. Martin’s ability to mix deep music with funky elements and sexy vocals make him a worldwide favorite. His sets are known to bridge the gap between techno, funk, minimal, and house. Blk|Market Membership’s own Taimur + Fahad are heroes of the New York underground scene. Not only known for throwing some of the city’s finest underground techno events, they are also recognized as two of its best DJ’s with a keen ear for upcoming global talent. With extended opening duties the duo will showcase the techno sounds which so many around the country have come to love. Rounding out the bill will be Time To Get Ill’s own Crazy Larry. Larry has brought together this impressive roster of artists dear to his heart for what is sure to be a very special night for all.

Sycophant Slags ‘Keep Off’ EP is out now on Poker Flat Recordings.<br

Sunday School tickets will be valid for the full 24 hours and include a re-entry wristband. Get the party started right: Come by early to pick up your wristband and have a Degenerate drink on the house during the early OPEN BAR (11pm-12am) and be sure to catch the exclusive live set from Detroit’s new breed Ryan Crosson with his percussive programming, dubby basslines, and dark atmospheres. The Ice Palace is located close to the nightclub district, so you can make the rounds. Or, like a true Degenerate, stay for the duration as class will be in session all night and day, with a line-up that is sure to school you.

NEW ARTISTS & EXCLUSIVES
NYC’s techno femme fatale DJ Connie leads off the night, followed by Ryan Crosson’s exclusive live set and Poker Flat artist Argy, for his long-awaited U.S. debut after last year’s visa snafu. Then, Turkey’s first real techno export Onur Özer will play his exclusive Miami set for another U.S. debut! Özer’s talents have made him one of the most critically acclaimed names in electronic music rising out of the most oriental parts of Europe. Germany’s Martin Buttrich returns with his midas touch for another explosive live set replete with his own golden productions. On the eve of his stunning CD kaleidoscope Balance 014, Joris Voorn joins the fray with his exclusive Miami performance. The future of DJing may lie in Voorn’s ability to simultaneously mix multiple tracks at once into entirely new soundscapes. Finally, Sunday School favorite Cassy returns for another indelible set to celebrate the final hours of degeneracy.

ABOUT ICE PALACE
Both the indoor and outdoor spaces will feature a complete sound system installed and engineered by Integral Sound, now tantamount with the highest quality. At night, the lobby will be transformed into the Degenerates den with a wood beam ceiling encasing a wonderfully warm sound with an adjacent open-air terrace. In the early morning, the 30,000 square foot Ice Palace lawn will be a green grass playground with seating, hammocks, a coconut tree vista, and plenty of shade. There will be a full bar available for the entire 24 hours, along with food available for purchase, including vegetarian options. Get ready for the one party to rule them all!

SUNDAY SCHOOL SET-TIMES
*Powered by Integral Sound

Sunday School For Degenerates graduates from [the now defunct] Pawn Shop to the expansive Ice Palace in downtown Miami. Now in its 4th year, SSFD continues to curate one the most exciting, international selections of underground techno artists for one of the most highly anticipated parties of the year. Every year, Sunday School brings together techno aficionados from all points east and west, along with a who’s who in the industry. With multiple rooms of music – all night inside with outdoor terrace and all day in the outdoor garden complete with grassy lawn and palm trees, Made Event will design the raw space in time for winter recess, along with a complete sound system custom installed and engineered by the uncompromising Integral Sound. This will be a 24 hour madcap adventure that will top off the Winter Music Conference week for the professional clubber.

Sunday School staple and NYC Save the Cannibals arch selector Adultnapper will be making his fourth appearance behind the DJ pulpit with his elaborate swung micro-rhythms, thick musical basslines, complex arrangements and haunting tonal melodies. Greece’s Argy makes his U.S. Debut, following last year’s acclaimed album Focus On Argy on Poker Flat. Also making his U.S. debut, Barem straight from Argentina, has been hailed as the top new, emerging minimal techno producer. Berlin’s Panorama Bar’s first lady of techno and Save the Cannibals high priestess, Cassy makes her sophomore appearance after a legendary closing set in 2007. French super producer and DJ extraordinaire D’Julz will be making a long-awaited comeback to Miami with his house and techno music rife with tribal, dub, and funk influences. Israeli producer Guy Gerber returns to SSFD and continues his hot streak with brilliant “Timing” release on Cocoon Recordings. Swedish Ida Engberg is Drumcode’s secret weapon, bringing a touch of female finesse to a predominately male genre of hard techno. Dutch DJ/Producer Joris Voorn is on the verge of greatness with his astounding Balance 14 compilation with over 100 tracks deftly mixed on 2CDs to be released this Spring. Joris delivers expert technical mixing and a drift between deep afterhour grooves and maximal bombs. Marco Carola has emerged in the last decade to be one of Italy’s most influential exports of techno and electronic music, now with his own string of releases on Minus sub-label 2M. Intim Recordings principal and Save the Cannibals chieftain, Martin Landsky is a globetrotting ambassador of the sound that bridges techno to funk, house to minimal, and a bit of everything in between. He has long been one of the key figures in the circle of producers at Poker Flat Recordings with a penchant for deep music that includes twisty and funky elements. Freude Am Tanzen & Vakant label mainstay, Mathias Kaden’s unique repertoire includes the funky, freaky rhythms enriched by African and South American percussions.

From Detroit’s techno scene, Ghostly’s Matthew Dear has evolved into a genre defying electronic music sensation. With his many production guises – Audion, Jabberjaw, and False, he continually pushes the envelope in the world of techno. Also a Save the Cannibals NYC resident, he is now set to release a brand new monthly series of Audion 12” releases, leading up to a new artist album slated for the summer. Sunday School headmaster Mr. C. has long been one of the original proponents of tech house with over 25 years of mixing vinyl. Turkish delight, Onur Özer is one of the most in demand DJs and producers on the continent, appearing here in his highly anticipated U.S. debut. With a string of massive releases, his music veers into mystical arabesque and turkish art music with deep synthetic pulses in his own unique style. Detroit son Ryan Crosson crafts techno and house tied to the historical precedent of his hometown, married with the new minimal aesthetics of his adopted Berlin. His acclaimed releases on diverse and groundbreaking labels like Minus, Telegraph, Trapez, and Wagon Repair, have vaulted him into the senior class. One of the brightest up-and-comers in the scene, Spectral Sound’s Seth Troxler move from Detroit to Berlin also continues to exemplify the mergence of his local roots with the European minimal techno and house aesthetic. With his debut “Love Never Sleeps” EP out now on Crosstown Rebels and Save the Cannibals NYC residency, this young prodigy is one to watch. Diynamic label boss, Solomun from the heart of Bosnia, has been hosting top nights in Hamburg at the famed DIY club. Also a Diynamic favorite, hotly tipped Hamburg producer Stimming will be playing live to proselytize his unique blend of highly melodic, emo-techno with tracks from his upcoming debut LP Reflections. Germany’s techno pioneer and minimal dance connoisseur, Steve Bug is one of the original SSFD principal members and Save the Cannibals resident. He is one of the scene’s unsung heroes and stands proudly at the helm of three influential labels – Dessous, Audiomatique Recording, and Poker Flat, now celebrating its 10 year anniversary with Made Event presents
SAVE THE CANNIBALS
featuring
ADULTNAPPER &
BRUNO PRONSATO (live)

Made Event continues strong into the New Year with the second installment of NYC’s newest techno weekly – Save the Cannibals. At the helm of this week’s edition is Brooklyn’s own Techno philosopher ADULTNAPPER and Berlin transplant, by way of Seattle, sound scientist BRUNO PRONSATO. Come join the madness that kicked off with Steve Bug last week as we venture into the heart of techno. This week all dinner guests can sign up to be added to the Save the Cannibals Reduced List for $15 ADMISSION BEFORE 12:30AM. The upstairs at Rebel will provide the intimacy of a small dance boite, along with exceptional sound with a complete new sound system installed and engineered by Integral Sound.

NYC’s arch tech selector ADULTNAPPER is a shadowy figure drawn from the dark reaches of Francis Harris’ imagination. His introspective productions defy convention, relying instead on a sophisticated, song-based approach, marked by elaborate swung micro-rhythms, thick musical baselines, complex arrangements and haunting tonal melodies. As a DJ, primarily on vinyl, Harris employs precision skills and thoughtful programming to expand upon Adultnapper’s sonic territory, earning him turns on the world’s most discerning dancefloors with his trademark emotion-laden rides. In 2007, Harris launched his enigmatic Ransom Note label which features the deeper side of Adultnapper alongside some of his favorite contemporaries, many drawn from his Brooklyn environs. The first three releases have featured challenging musical contributions from Alexi Delano, Camea, Matt Tolfrey & Inxec. Ransom Note’s sub-label Footnote exposes the raw house side of Adultnapper’s world with outings so far by Beat Pharmacy, Nick Chacona, Tommy Bones, (a)pendics.shuffle, Mikael Stravostrand, Holmar Filipsson and Rekleiner. Next up is Brendon Moeller/Beat Pharmacy under his Echologist guise with “The Score,” which lands on vinyl with remixes by Adultnapper & Jus Ed in mid-February, and on digital with a bonus cut in March. 2009 will see both labels widen their roster with releases lined up by Jay Tripwire, Touane, Anthony Parasole & Fred P./Black Jazz Consortium, Theodor Zox and Vincenzo, while Adultnapper continues his prolific studio work with additional releases due on Clink Recordings, Crosstown Rebels Digital and his debut on Poker Flat Recordings.

Joining Adultnapper for this techno journey is BRUNO PRONSATO with a special live performance. Pronsato’s mix of playful yet rigorous music has brought him to all corners of the techno universe. Following his latest fantastic album “Why Can’t We Be Like Us”, Bruno releases another timeless pearl, magical vocal track “Nobody Calls” on label Hello?Repeat. On the flip side, a fairly dirty track called “Where’d You Learn To Kiss That Way” gets a little gritty with a uniquely deep, glorious atmosphere. Over the years, Bruno has released music on prestigious techno imprints such as Orac, Musique Risquee, Milnor Modern, Telegraph, Philpot, and Perlon, and in 2007 he found his way into techno’s epicenter, Berlin and formed Half Hawaii with Perlon’s Sammy Dee. Regardless of geography one thing is certain, Bruno’s music constantly pushes the boundaries of techno and experimental while always remaining undeniably danceable.

Made Event presents
SAVE THE CANNIBALS
NYC Saturday Techno Weekly Beginning January 24, 2009

As we herald in a new year, Made Event prepares to Save The Cannibals. Conceived as a weekly series, global techno talents will converge in the heart of the concrete jungle called New York City. The parties will be infused with some long-displaced, cherished principles of the dancefloor: grade A talent, superior sound, exceptional music and an egalitarian, no-nonsense take to getting down to the business of dancing.

At the onset, Save The Cannibals will be helmed by six residents appearing in quarterly residencies throughout the year: ADULTNAPPER, CASSY, MARTIN LANDSKY, MATTHEW DEAR, SETH TROXLER and STEVE BUG, with additional special guests each week. These techno heavyweights lay the groundwork for the movement and whet the palate for more to come.

Brooklyn’s own Techno philosopher Adultnapper and his Ransom Note label investigates hauntingly introspective, stripped down electronic music and brings body & mind enlightenment to the dancefloor. Berlin’s high priestess Cassy explores the deepest territories of house and techno in her 100% vinyl-only sets. Her club residency at Panorama Bar has become a benchmark for techno tourists and natives alike and puts her in a class of her own. Intim Recordings top chef Martin Landsky is a globetrotting ambassador of the sound that bridges techno to funk, house to minimal, and a bit of everything in between. He has long been one of the key figures in the circle of producers at Poker Flat Recordings with a penchant for deep music that includes twisty and funky elements. From Detroit’s techno scene, Ghostly’s Matthew Dear has evolved into a genre defying electronic music sensation. With his many production guises – Audion, Jabberjaw, and False, he continually pushes the envelope in the world of techno and finds favor with even the most avid techno purists with his own brand of techno psychedelia. One of the brightest up-and-comers in the scene, Spectral Sound’s Seth Troxler move from Detroit to Berlin exemplifies the mergence of his local roots with the European minimal techno and house aesthetic. With his debut “Love Never Sleeps” EP out now on Crosstown Rebels, this young prodigy is one to watch. Germany’s techno pioneer and minimal dance connoisseur, Steve Bug is one of the scene’s unsung heroes. He stands at the helm of three influential labels – Dessous, Poker Flat and Audiomatique Recording, that serve as a platform to champion high caliber vinyl releases. Bug launches the Save the Cannibals series with a celebration to mark the 10 year anniversary of Poker Flat Recordings.

Over the years, Made Event has brought quality and professionalism to the sometimes chaotic and uncharted territory of electronic dance music. Now, with new management at Rebel NYC and a newly installed and custom engineered Integral Sound System, they’re taking over the upstairs to bring you excellence in techno music with unparalleled programming, curated with the world’s most sought after Artists for this brand new weekly party – SAVE THE CANNIBALS.

Sign up for the Save The Cannibals mailing list and get updates at Friday, November 14th , 2008.

Paco Osuna‘s driving and pulsating brand of techno fuses tribal percussive beats along side the more clinical surgical sounds associated with the Minus label and the likes of Richie Hawtin and Gaiser. Being at home with both house and techno, as well as in the fusion between them, Osuna views his sets as an “in-crescendo”-journey causing variations of tension that drive the dancefloor crazy. The combination between this factor and his unquestionable technical skills make Paco is one of the leading, emerging forces in the scene.

Paco began his claim to fame in 1999 with a residency at the Amnesia in Ibiza, where he was greatly influenced by Sven Väth, both personally and professionally. Osuna’s interest for the harder sounds such as techno grew, but he never left behind his passion for house music. Soon after, Paco signed to the Serial Killer label where he released “I Can Feel My Blood Pumpin’” and “Me Vuelve Loca” on the Serial Killer EPs “Groove Grill” and “Beat Hacker”. More recently he has put out releases with Plus 8 Records including the tracks “Crazy” and “Orbeat”.

Joining Osuna for this epic techno filled night is none other than the dark and complex techno DJ/Producer Francis Harris, better known as Adultnapper. His unique sound has lead to his prolific career with productions appearing on Audiomatique, Nummer, Mule, Dirt Crew, and Superfreq. Harris’s exceptional technical skills generate complex arrangements that encompass highly creative and well designed baselines and micro-rhythms. In 2007, Harris launched Ransom Note, a concept label which, through music, text and imagery, will tell the story of the Adultnapper character, an anti-hero who is part creative genius gone awry, part tortured dystopic philosopher, part paranoid vigilante outlaw… and part Harris himself. Adultnapper’s enigmatic Ransom Note series continues with it’s third episode. This time the plot thickens as the narrative’s shadowy author fades to the background, setting the stage for the prophetic return of Alexi Delano in the form of ADNY, with two revelatory new tracks. The Forms EP also sees the introduction of the story’s first heroine, NYC’s own Berlin transplant Camea, who rises to the challenge of remixing “Under My Skin.” Out now on collectible 12″ vinyl with color picture sleeve featuring drawings by John Stroud and text by Adultnapper.

Cielo
Saturday October 18th, 2008 at the globally renowned and award winning club in the heart of New York City.

The success of the EVOLVE parties lies in Calderone’s ability to blend the old with the new, the crowd favorite with the obscure, and to span genres from banging tribal to techy minimal with grace, the right amount of sexiness and loads of energy. Victor’s EVOLVE residency was a staple in NYC’s nightlife for the last 2 years and he now returns for one more unforgettable night with Pacha NYC ‘s over-the-top debauchery, spectacular sound, quality production and dazzling lighting.

For 20 plus years, Calderone has achieved an amazing career of successful residencies, chart-topping productions and star-studded remixes. With an early cult following and underground vibe, Victor shot to dance music stardom with massive hits like “Give It Up,” “Beat Me Harder,” and “Resonate.” As a producer, his natural studio talent attracted some very big attention, leading to remix work with some of pop music’s most popular artists, including Depeche Mode, Goldfrapp, Beyonce, Sting and Madonna. Calderone’s music and his parties continue to push the boundaries of the genre and evolve along with his forward-thinking sound and ever-growing popularity.

NYC’s arch tech selector Adultnapper is a shadowy figure drawn from the dark reaches of Francis Harris’ imagination. Born in Las Vegas, raised on punk rock, and schooled in philosophy, Harris went from “hating dance music,” to establishing himself as a DJ/Producer with a unique sound and a global audience. His often introspective productions, which have appeared on Audiomatique, Nummer, Mule, Dirt Crew and Superfreq, defy convention; relying instead on a sophisticated, song-based approach, marked by elaborate swung micro-rhythms, thick musical baselines, complex arrangements and haunting tonal melodies. As a DJ, primarily mixing records, Harris employs precision skills and thoughtful programming to expand upon Adultnapper’s sonic territory, earning him turns on the world’s most discerning dancefloors; Panorama Bar, Fabric, DC10, Ibiza, The End, London, Cielo, NY, Weekend, Berlin, Pawn Shop, Miami, and Avalon, LA are just a few that he’s taken on one of his trademark emotion-laden rides.
