Pacha NYC presents a special extended performance from four-time nominated, Grammy Award-winning artist,  the prolific techno DJ and producer DUBFIRE on Saturday, February 6th, 2010. As the musical mastermind of the entire night, Dubfire will be at the helm of the music from the beginning to the very end.

Few artists can boast the kind of critical and commercial success Ali ‘Dubfire’ Shirazinia has managed to achieve. Dubfire has proved his versatility not only as a world-respected powerhouse artist, but also a sought-after remixer and all around risk-taker. He has collaborated with some of the biggest names and released an array of notable remixes, productions, acclaimed artist albums, and mix CD’s landing him at the top of multiple “best of” charts, all the while unknowingly setting a merciless musical standard difficult for others to follow.

After 15 ground-breaking years topping charts as one-half of Deep Dish, Dubfire’s solo creative journey to explore musical boundaries has since garnered world-wide appeal as fans and critics alike embraced his new unexpected, deep and evocative sound. Shaped by his love for a wide range of musical influences and his insistence on pushing the envelope musically, Dubfire’s less mainstream, darker sound proves he can conquer both dance music’s commercial and underground. 2009 was a momentous year for Dubfire . His production partnership with techno maestro Oliver Huntemann brought the electronic dance scene to its knees with the release of three massive dance floor hits: “Diablo”, “Dios”, and most recently “Fuego”. He won his third Beatport Award as “Best Techno Artist”, 8 of his production/remixes are listed on Beatport’s “Best of DJ Charts, 2009″ with “Split the Line” remaining as one of Beatport’s top sellers, and his latest single “Rabid” is on the “Beatport Top 10” list.

2010 will mark yet another banner year as Dubfire’s momentum powers on. Amidst his busy touring schedule, he continues to nurture fresh talent worldwide with his own label, Science + Technology Digital Audio, and his collaboration with Oliver Huntemann has a host of exciting productions lined up to be released this year. Pacha NYC presents the official New York City stop of the Rebel Rave Tour featuring Damian Lazarus, Jamie Jones, Seth Troxler, Deniz Kurtel, and opening set by Blk|Market Membership’s Taimur+Fahad on Friday, February 12, 2010.

The ultimate collection of musical oddballs and misfits known as the Rebel Rave Crew have been responsible for some of the most exciting sounds in recent dance music, both behind the decks and as cutting edge producers. Now, the Rebel Ravers will lead club goers at New York megaclub Pacha NYC on a musical odyssey, displaying their unique twist on the electronic scene.  Starting with Crosstown Rebels head and underground DJ hero Damian Lazarus, who has been on quite a roll recently.  His recent debut artist album Smoke The Monster Out was met with critical acclaim and is set to release its third single “Diamond in the Dark”.

As the mastermind of the tour he states, “The Rebel Rave tour is a great opportunity for all the Rebel family to gather together for awesome parties at some of the best clubs in the world. We bring a special sense of fun to the dancefloor, our combined sound is second to none and our followers across America know to expect the unexpected. Get ready to Rave“  Playing alongside Damian will be a slew of today’s most forward thinking underground artists.  Jamie Jones has quickly risen through the ranks and become a figure that simply cannot be ignored.  His anthem ‘Summertime” became one of the biggest tracks of the year and was recently named DJ Mag’s “Best Single of 2009”.  Jamie also received the magazines honor as the year’s “Best Producer”.  Having recently been named #8 in Resident Advisor’s Best DJs of 2009 Poll, Seth Troxler has rapidly gained notoriety throughout the scene.  From Detroit to Berlin and everywhere in between, Seth has made a name for himself playing some of the most unique sets in the business, while noticeably enjoying every minute he steps behind the decks. His next move for world domination is an unsurprisingly excellent compilation for BPitch’s Boogybytes Vol. 5. Turkish born Deniz Kurtel is set to unveil her debut live performance alongside a self-made LED lighting system.  Already being hailed as the next great hope for electronic music, her debut single ‘Yeah’ has been called an all time classic.  Rounding out the bill will be NYC favorites Taimur + Fahad.  Their infamous Blk|Market Membership events have brought some of techno’s finest talents to various secret venues throughout the city.  As DJ’s they present a sound perfect for starting this music journey on the right note.  New York mega club Pacha NYC has seen its share of talent in its 4+ years, but The Rebel Rave crew is sure to provide the venue with a night unlike any other.

The one and only Dutch king Marco V lays down some serious tracks, spanning the world of dance music – from trance to techno and beyond.

Pacha NYC is proud to present the Pacha debut of Dutch DJ hero Marco V on Friday, February 5th, 2010.

Some people are born with the music running through their veins and Marco V is most definitely one of them.  Like many of the world’s superstar DJs, Marco honed his musical skills in his home country of The Netherlands.   However, few have done more for dance music then he has. Inspiring new producers and DJ’s every day, he is frequently described as the preeminent DJ’s DJ, with many of his colleagues stating him as their primary influence.  When Marco steps behind the turntables he holds complete control of the crowd.   Bringing them a style that is not easily defined, he can incorporate anything from fierce electro to driving techno and trance. Travel the globe and you’ll be hard pushed find a dancefloor that hasn’t felt his force.

In the studio Marco has released some of the decade’s most recognizable dance anthems. Classics such as “Indicator”, “Godd”, “Second Bite”, and “Red Blue Purple” have all found themselves emanating from the speakers of the world premier clubs and festivals. Marco has also been known to lend his unique touch to established classics like “Café Del Mar” and “Loops & Tings Relooped”, updating them for the latest generations of fans. Now, after the highly successful Combi:Nations mix series and two artist albums we see Marco’s most ambitious project yet.  His 3rd artist album Propaganda is set to be released in an unprecedented two parts. With part 1 available and part 2 on the way, Propaganda provides Marco a platform which can span his entire musical spectrum.

Made Event & Armani Exchange proudly present the launch of a new series of electronic music events at the famous Nokia Theatre Times Square. The inaugural party brings Dutch dance music pioneer and perennial DJ Mag Top 10 DJ Ferry Corsten, along with Swedish electro house wonder John Dahlbäck on Friday, February 12, 2010.

It’s easy to get excessive when talking about DJs, but with dance music veteran and trance hero Ferry Corsten, the facts speak for themselves.  The accolades and awards he has received for his productions, remixes, and DJ skills have resulted in Ferry being voted as one of the Top 10 DJs in the world by DJ Magazine for almost a decade. Since his immersion on the scene, the Dutch musician has amassed best-selling albums and nearly a dozen gold singles.  He also maintains a worldwide tour schedule which, on any given weekend, brings him to all corners of the globe.  His albums, remixes, and singles reach iconic status almost immediately upon release as such iconic tracks as “Made of Love”, “Punk”, “Gouryella”, and “Out of the Blue” can prove.  Ferry shows no signs of slowing down in 2010. His 2001 System F album Out of the Blue will be re released and digitally re-mastered featuring the complete track list and some hard to find remixes.  Also, the release of Out of the Blue 2010, which features the legendary trance anthem remixed by some of today’s top artists including Tiesto, Laidback Luke, and Giuseppe Ottaviani, amongst a slew of others.  In spring 2010, Ferry is also set to launch a brand new compilation series entitled “Once Upon A Night”, as well as its accompanying concert experience. All the while, Ferry’s “Corsten’s Countdown” show is broadcast on Sirius XM Radio weekly on Wednesdays at 9pm ET.

The name John Dahlbäck is not only for the underground people, but for everyone, everywhere.  He is the lucky father of the label Pickadoll, which has featured releases from some of the finest producers working today.  Though John may be considered a youngster by some standards, his age within the realm of dance music is anything but.  Boasting a discography that borders one hundred, including his most recent chart topper “Love Inside“, John has solidified his place amongst the hardest working and most respected DJ’s and producers.  Having come from a family rich in musical tradition, which includes cousin Jesper, John Dahlbäck has carved out his own signature sound in relatively minimal time.  A sound grounded in electro and borrowing elements throughout the dance music spectrum has made John one of Beatport’s most downloaded artists of recent years.

The Nokia Theatre Times Square is an indoor theater designed by award-winning architect David Rockwell of the Rockwell Group. The 2,100-capacity venue has an expansive dancefloor with staggered tiers providing unobstructed views, combined with comfy stadium seating in the rear and a chic lounge area.
