BALANCE 015 – WILL SAUL
(EQ Recordings /US: October 20th, 2009)

Since its inception in 2001, the Balance Series has showcased the diverse and upfront sounds of frontrunners like James Holden, Chris Fortier, Desyn Masiello, Paolo Mojo, Jimmy Van M, S.O.S Collective, and Lee Burridge. Now hot on the heels of Joris Voorn’s stunning 100+ track installment; EQ Recordings returns to the global stage in October 2009 with Balance 015.

With a proud reputation for securing sublime, forward-thinking DJ’s that best represent the ever-changing nature of dance music and the shape of things to come; it’s little wonder that as the Balance Series has grown in notoriety over recent years, so too has the interest from fans and artists in who will be chosen to take control of the next groundbreaking mix.

And so, without further ado, Balance is extremely pleased to announce that the UK’s master of the Deep, Will Saul, has accepted mixing duties for Balance 015.

Since entering the picture with a prodigious victory in Muzik Magazine’s coveted ‘Bedroom Bedlam’ mixtape competition back in 2000, Will Saul has risen through the ranks of the dance music elite to firmly establish himself as a DJ, Producer and A&R Manager of premium quality and repute.

As a DJ, Will’s trademark penchant for the deep, melodic and hypnotic realms of ‘discohousetechno’ have seen him traverse the planet on tours and hold key residencies at London clubbing institutions like The End and Cable.

As a Producer, Will’s insatiable appetite for forging infectious grooves intertwined with deep, lush audio scapes has seen him not only forge a high-end catalogue of originals to date (including ‘Tic Toc’, ‘Fast Lane’ and ‘Love The Scary’), but earn remix duties for fellow kings of the underground like Phonique, Jesse Rose, Marc Romboy, Manuel Tur and Steve Lawler.

And, as an A&R Manager blessed with years of invaluable experience at Sony International, Will is the proud and successful founding owner of two of the industry’s eminent, most respected imprints, Simple and Aus Music …

Hallmarked by an unwavering commitment to allowing its chosen artists the creative freedom and musical integrity to present a mix that truly reflects their hearts, minds, souls and sounds; Balance is devoted to bringing listeners, fans and followers unique mixes and sonic experiences that capture the spirit of a moment and stand the test of time …

Will Saul’s Balance 015 will be no different.

Indeed, with Will at the controls, Balance 015 promises to epitomise the spirit of the series to date, embody its ethos and, of course, have fans dancing for hours on end – today, tomorrow and well beyond …

Balance 015 mixed by Will Saul touches down in the U.S. on October 20th, 2009. Stay tuned for details.

The countdown has begun!

Joining Jonson on this special night is Three. Aside from his natural ability on the decks, Three sets himself apart from the rest of the pack by presenting eclectic sounds with an open-minded attitude towards everything he does. ‘This Is Sander Kleinenberg 2’ To Be Released On Ultra Records On September 8th

Wednesday, August 26th, 2009

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

This Is...Sander Kleinenberg 2

‘THIS IS SANDER KLEINENBERG 2’
(ULTRA RECORDS / SEPTEMBER 8TH)

Pioneering International DJ, producer and label boss Sander Kleinenberg releases his impressive new mix compilation called ‘This Is Sander Kleinenberg 2’ on Ultra Records this September 9, 2009. This compilation truly displays how versatile Sander can be, drawing on a vast array of styles and using them in an innovative way to create his unparalleled sound. Each disc offers something slightly different and follows on brilliantly from his hugely popular first compilation in the series.

The first disc, ‘Left’, kicks things off with a laid back atmospheric slice of electronic bliss called ‘Summer Rain’ from Bpitch control’s starlet Sascha Funke. From there the mix builds effortlessly blending a fine selection of different House styles. Hotly tipped Hamburg producer Martin Stimming being well represented on this comp with two brilliant tracks, starting with “Silver surfer”, followed by a co-production with Mladen Solomun, called “Feuervogel”. Berlin producer David Keno “Replika” track is also signed to Sander’s own Little Mountain Recordings.  As far as the origin of tracks is concerned we’re staying in Germany for a while. H.O.S.H. was responsible for a great “Downstairs” remix, originally produced by Lucy. Great Stuff label boss Rainer Weichhold is responsible for twisting Rockers Hi-Fi’s “Push push“ and the previously unreleased Sultan and Ned Shepard remix of ‘Asteroidz’ by DBN featuring Matida. This disc has a very sexy, uplifting and funky feel to it which just leaves you wanting more.

The second disc, ‘Right’, shows Sander’s rougher and tougher side. It commences with a spoken word vocal sample, “Little boy…Little girl…evil dope” looping over the beginning to Kleinenberg’s latest dance floor homage and his first single in three years entitled, “This Is Our Night”. The noteworthy single features Sander’s signature synth bounce and vocal and has been charted in the top 10 on Beatport’s Electro House & Progressive charts, as well as #1 on DMC’s Buzz Chart. Following suit is Rene Amesz’s previously unreleased Electro/Tribal track ‘Ridicule’. The mix develops with some driving tech-house including Luetzenkirchen’s ‘Foxy’ and DJ Ortzy’s exclusive Dirty Flavor compilation remix of ‘Massive’. Sander powers the mix home with Dabruck & Klein’s dominant peak time electro remix of Joachim Garraud’s ‘The answer’ and concludes with Mason’s brilliant chilled Refurb mix of ‘Kippschwinger’.

On the horizon, keep an ear out for Sander’s debut artist album due in early 2010. The album contains a plethora of amazing new productions, which he has worked on with U.S. heavyweight Josh Gabriel. The first single from the album will be Sander’s remarkable new tune “This Is Our Night” which has already gained support from BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong.
