Sunday, November 9th
Benny Soto presents
718 Sessions
featuring music by
DANNY KRIVIT & JOE CLAUSSELL

One of NYC’s venerable clubbing institutions 718 Sessions returns to Pacha NYC this Sunday, November 9th, 2008. Now in its 6th year, 718 Sessions continues to champion soulful classics and house music to a multi-culti diverse crowd spanning many generations. DJ doyen Danny Krivit hems the party with over 35+ years of experience, from guest DJ’ing at the Paradise Garage in the 70′s to being a resident at the legendary Body & Soul parties alongside Francois K. and Joaquin “Joe” Claussell, Krivit is widely known for his custom edits of legendary house and disco records. This month, Krivit is joined by fellow Body & Soul cohort Joe Claussell.

This week’s Time Out New York “Essential NY 2008″ issue lists 150 NYC musts. While NYC’s nightworld is a land of endless possibilities, TONY names 718 Sessions as one of the few outposts it can’t live without.

“[718 Sessions] If soulful disco and R&B-based house are Gotham’s gift to the dance-music universe, then Danny Krivit is the city’s top Santa Claus. It doesn’t matter that the party bounces from venue to venue: Wherever it ends up, it’s one of the best shindigs in town.” -Time Out New York “Essential NY 2008″

Pacha NYC presents DIRTY SOUTH – November 8th, 2008

Saturday, November 8th, 2008

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Dirty South

Saturday, November 8th, 2008
Pacha NYC presents
DIRTY SOUTH

Pacha NYC presents white hot Australian house DJ/Producer DIRTY SOUTH on Saturday, November 8th.

It would be difficult to name a new artist who has had more impact on the scene over the last couple of years than Dirty South aka Dragan Roganovic.  It was 2006 and Dirty South’s killer remix of Evermore’s “It’s Too Late” that his career really began to skyrocket. The remix was easily among the year’s biggest tracks in clubland and in addition to being licensed to over 30 compilations worldwide, the track was nominated for ‘Best Alternative Dance Release’ at the International Dance Music Awards in Miami. Since that pivotal moment Dirty South has gone on to remix countless world renowned artists such as Depeche Mode, Mark Ronson, Tracy Thorn, Snoop Dogg, Tiesto and Roger Sanchez among many others. By no means purely a remix specialist, Dirty South has produced an impressive number of high quality EPs and singles. “Let It Go”, “Open Your Heart”, “Minority” and The Doors sampling “The End” have been all been club-smashing anthems that have received support from right across the board.

Continuing their policy of investing in white-hot, breakthrough talent, Toolroom Records enlisted Australian DJ/producer Dirty South to provide a mix for the prolific Toolroom Knights series. After efforts from label boss Mark Knight and Radio 1 DJ Dave Spoon, the series is quickly garnering a reputation for cutting-edge mixes that push the boundaries of House music.

Toolroom Knights Mixed by Dirty South is out now on Toolroom Records.

Made Event presents SOS Halloween Bash with Desyn Masiello, Omid 16B and Demi @ Rebel – Nov 1st

Saturday, November 1st, 2008

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SOS

Saturday, November 1st, 2008
Made Event presents
SOS
(Desyn Masiello, Omid 16B and Demi)

Made Event presents UK DJ collective SOS, comprised of Desyn Masiello, Omid 16B and Demi, for an extended Halloween Bash like none other in New York City, downstairs at Rebel on Saturday, November 1st. ]

Individually they are dynamite; collectively they are the bomb. These guys are taking the art of DJing, moving it forward and making it truly progressive.  As friends, producers, DJs, label owners – and model clubland citizens – Demi, Desyn and Omid are three of the most passionate talents working in electronic music today. Taking inspiration from their SexOnWax and Deeper Substance imprints to form SOS in 2004, they’ve built a first-rate reputation for quality music, inventive mixing and an infectious party spirit, whether it’s on a boat along the Thames, deep inside Bedrock or Ministry of Sound, or glowing in the sun in Ibiza or Miami. Like Danny Krivit, François K and Joe Claussell’s legendary Body & Soul connection before them, the chemistry between the members of SOS makes for a proper three-headed DJ monster.

Balance 013, released earlier this year marks the first time the trio has committed their energetic and eclectic sound to CD, and the result is nothing short of mind-blowing. Having locked themselves away for weeks, submerged in their home studios, SOS painstakingly programmed and pieced together a three-disc opus using many of their signature re-edits, top-drawer treasures from underground troves, and a few kinky surprises out of left field.

SOS has been busy tearing up dance floors across the globe on their Balance 013 world tour and now its New York City’s turn as the final North American leg comes to an end.  Don’t miss this one – as you undoubtedly will regret it.

Balance 013 mixed by SOS (3xCD) is out now on EQ Recordings.
