Made Event presents LAURENT GARNIER in his first NYC appearance in over 3 years at Cielo on Saturday, November 10th, 2007. This long-awaited appearance from one of the great DJ maestros will be an intimate dance music excursion with Garnier’s eclectic programming and beautiful sound mosaic of a variety of dance-related genres. His last appearance at the closing parties for Centro-Fly (RIP 2004) is already the stuff of DJ legend.

PUBLIC OUTBURST, the latest release from top French DJ / producer and F Communications label boss Laurent Garnier, is an album of live sessions inspired by seventies improv jazz and recorded from sessions during the summer of 2006 featuring his live band. The seven tracks on the album were composed and performed by Garnier and his band consisting of Bugge Wesseltoft and Benjamin Rippert on keyboards, and Philippe Nadaud on brass. The album brings Laurent’s unmistakable brand of techno into the live arena with the quartet jamming and improvising as jazz musicians with new tracks and jams as well as teasing us with a few classics from the vaults.

Made Event presents a double-headlining combo that is sure to whet even the most underground sensibilities with the German duo M.A.N.D.Y. going head-to-head with U.K. Crosstown Rebel’s head honcho DAMIAN LAZARUS at Brooklyn’s Studio B nightclub on Saturday, November 10th.

M.A.N.D.Y. are renowned for their ecstatic, energetic DJ sets and homespun productions with Booka Shade, they have also won over hearts and minds with the intelligence and sense of fun they bring to remixing. The diversity and talent of those artists who’ve commissioned reworks from M.A.N.D.Y. - among them Lindstrom, Royksopp and The Knife - is testament to their in-demand talents. Their latest release 12 Great Remixes For 11 Great Artists is a chance for those who missed some or all of M.A.N.D.Y.’s best re-versions to play catch-up for the very first time on CD., but it also works as a coherent start-to-finish listen, incorporating a range of styles, vocals and instrumentals, from the old (Roxy Music) to the new (Tiefschwarz, Rex The Dog et al).

M.A.N.D.Y., aka Patrick Bodmer and Philipp Jung, first met in Saarbrucken way back and have been friends ever since; they first started living and working together under various guises in Frankfurt, and they took up a DJing residency at the city’s Monza club in 2001. This residency has continued to the present day, and they represent Monza in Germany, Ibiza, and around the world. Their considerable DJing experience gives them a deep, intuitive understanding of what works on the dancefloor and, by extension, what works in a remix. As such, ‘12 Great Remixes’ is not just satisfying musically; it is also a tremendously powerful and effective assembly of club tracks.

After playing parties on Halloween and Mexico’s Day of the Dead, Damian Lazarus rises from the dead for a 2 week mission of grisly techno proportions which take him across the States to Guatemala City, Monterrey, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Edmonton, Chicago and New York with the horrific Mandy boys and the super scary Lee Burridge on select dates. This tour will be one of monstrous proportions with the odd (unannounced) afterparty session planned for all the zombies out there.

From the recesses of his deep, dark basement, somewhere in the heart of London’s sprawling metropolis, Damian Lazarus brings you LAZPOD - an excursion into weird and wonderful sound.
