Made Event presents Tel-Aviv based, Cocoon newcomer GUY GERBER (Live) with Halcyon’s DJ Connie at Cielo on Friday, November 23rd, 2007.

Guy Gerber released his debut artist album ’Late Bloomers’ on Cocoon earlier this year to great world-wide support and an international tour. He has spent the latter half of 2007 building and developing his Supplement Facts label, considered to be one of the fast growing choice labels around. The self-imprint ends 2007 with a release from Gerber himself and sometime production partner Chaim with the “Saltamonte” (meaning grasshopper in Spanish) EP.

Guy Gerber has been stirring up electronic audiences with his anthem releases, and live shows for quite some time. After countless productions for major labels, dance ensembles, and electro rock bands, which earned him many awards and praises, Guy was ready for a major hit. His universally embraced single on Bedrock Records “Stoppage Time” became the stand out anthem of the year at the likes of Cocoon at Amnesia, and DC 10. The single has surpassed the 5-digit mark in sales and continues to shift by the truckload and to appear on numerous compilations.

Last summer’s success led to Guy joining the Cocoon family. First came, “This Is Balagan,” which attracted Sven’s attention to Guy’s unique melodies and production skills. The “Sea of Sand” collaboration with Shlomi Aber which appeared on Cocoon’s Compilation F, with its breath taking memorable melody, introduced Guy’s production to a wide new range of electronic audiences. When the single came out, accompanied by “After Love,” Guy was already spotted as the hottest name around. On New Year’s Eve 2007, Guy introduced to the world his new live show, rocking major events and festivals such as Time Warp and SAMC ever since.

NYC DEBUT!

Made Event presents the NYC debut of renowned Swedish DJ and producer ERIC PRYDZ at Pacha NYC on Friday, November 16th, 2007. This marks the long-anticipated North American debut of a rising star.

Eric Prydz propelled to fame after his 2004 hit single “Call on Me” topped the UK singles charts for five weeks and held the number one spot on the German Top100 for six consecutive weeks. Earlier this year, Prydz released a blistering track sampling Pink Floyd’s “Another Brick In The Wall” into Eric Prydz vs. Floyd “Proper Education” on Ministry of Sound. This is the first time a Pink Floyd record has ever officially been cleared. Lacing David Gilmour’s caliginous vocals with an immense electro bassline, Prydz builds on the epic nature of the original, molding it into a bouncy slice of crossover brilliance. Using both the original vocal and other musical elements of the 1979 hit, the Swedish house don gives a respectful nod to the anti-establishment aesthetics of the record, while perfectly bringing it up to date, giving it a new lease of life for another assault on the charts.

The video for “Proper Education” set off its own sensation with a poignant environmental message and timely focus on climate change and the issues surrounding global warming. Set in a London estate, it features a gang of young people breaking into local flats, in order to switch appliances off standby, change light bulbs for energy efficient alternatives, place bricks in toilet cisterns, alongside a series of other energy saving measures.

Eric Prydz is on a roll at the moment, without doubt leading the way. His labels Mouseville, Pryda Recordings and Pryda Friends are positively brimming with underground club hits. Eric is now in charge of three highly respected labels whose releases are in feverish demand, consistently selling huge quantities of vinyl which is truly incredible in the markets current climate. The labels are arguably proving to be the most successful and forward thinking imprints currently existing. Each label was strictly developed to give Eric a platform to release his own productions without outside interference, simply his music on his terms. It was important for Eric to step back after his previous successes and release music without schedules and pressure. Ultimately he wanted to control his own image and destiny, something extremely important to him and his career. 2007 marks the 10th anniversary of the now world renowned, cutting edge label - Subliminal Records and this Thanksgiving Eve, November 21st, Erick Morillo returns to New York City for a very special Subliminal Sessions party at his home club, Pacha NYC. To celebrate Erick has invited special guests along, who will be performing some of Subliminal’s biggest tracks to highlight the last ten fantastic years.

Erick shares his excitement, “It’s going to be awesome; I hope you’re all as excited as I am. I can’t wait to get all the Subliminal family back for our own Thanksgiving celebration, as we all know the holidays are all about spending time with family.”

Abigail Bailey will be performing “I Just Can’t Get Enough” the track she wrote with Herd & Fitz in 2005 and which reached #11 in the UK Top 20. It went on to become an across the board radio smash and still gets rocked out at parties across the globe. Abby always brings the house down at the Subliminal parties and has an unbelievable performance in the Subliminal Arena as this year’s Creamfields UK. It will be a show stopping Pacha NYC debut.

Gadjo’s “So Many Times” was the track that defined the WMC in 2004 and was one of that summer’s biggest anthems. It still sounds just as fresh nearly four years on and Alexandra Prinz is jetting over from Germany for a special live performance.

From the latest installment in the Subliminal Records compilation series, Subliminal Sessions 11 mixed by label head, Erick Morillo himself, the track that garnered the most attention is Lee Kalt’s ‘Special K’ featuring Missus M. Missus M will be performing a live performance of this hit 2007 tune and Lee Kalt will be DJ’ing in the Pacha basement.

ABOUT ERICK MORILLO
Erick Morillo is a platinum selling artist and has topped the charts worldwide as the producer behind Reel 2 Reel’s hit “I Like To Move It”. As a high profile DJ, Erick is currently one of the most in-demand and instantly recognizable DJs in the world with him most recently being invited to play at the Concert for Diana afterparty at Wembley for Prince William and Prince Harry. With his residency success at Pacha Ibiza, Erick was chosen to open the prestigious Pacha, New York in December 2005 and hosts a Subliminal Sessions residency. He has remixed everyone from Whitney Houston to Basement Jaxx, from the Sneaker Pimps to Macy Gray and has collaborated with the likes of Puff Daddy, Boy George and the Audio Bullys. Dutch DJ/Producer ARMIN VAN BUUREN received the yearly award for the #1 most popular global DJ in 2007 from the well known British magazine DJ MAG. In the influential yearly top 100, a record-breaking 345,000 votes were cast by dance music fans from more than 220 countries.

Armin has been listed in the DJ Mag Top 100 since 2001. In 2002 he entered the top at the 5th position, after which he climbed even further to the 3rd place. After holding this position for 3 years in a row he climbed up to the 2nd place last year. This year he was able to takeover the No.1 DJ crown from Paul van Dyk and past three year consecutive winner Tiësto.

Now Armin is in the midst of a major US tour for his upcoming mix compilation Universal Religion 2008: Live from Armada at Ibiza releasing on Ultra Records December 4th. The album was recorded live on August 21 in summer 2007, during the Armada night at legendary Amnesia nightclub. On the live element Armin says, “It adds to the feeling, the experience, so you can feel like you’re there, having a great time with your friends.” The unplanned set list became the perfect CD release: a spontaneous selection of records that embodies the timeless Balearic sound of Ibiza against the buzz of a crowd enjoying a world-renowned club and their favorite DJ. “I had the first two tracks lined up, and the rest I just chose as I played, gauged on the reaction from the dancefloor,” says Armin. “Tracks like Big Sky, Sunlounger and Daydream are pure Balearic gems. It’s scary to record something live but once the music starts flowing you lose yourself to it”.

On top of his already vigorous schedule with another Ultra release, A State of Trance 2007, earlier this year, Armin continues to host his hugely popular international radio show “A State of Trance” which is broadcast across 40 FM stations in 20 countries and heard by 2.5 million people every week. . For the third time, the show received an award for Best Global Dance Radio Show during Winter Music Conference in Miami.

Armin has been working in the studio for his upcoming artist album which is scheduled for release in early 2008. To support this new album, Armin will tour the globe with a new show around the “Armin Only” concept, in which he plays long sets, supported by several live acts and performances. The success of the two previous editions in the Netherlands, laid the foundation for a worldwide tour in 2008. The kick-off is planned on the April 19th, 2008 in De Jaarbeurs in Utrecht, the Netherlands, which marks the start of the global tour.
